OK, here's a new poll, based on input from the last one. Since we could, in theory, do multiple RPs, you now have the option to vote for more than one. However, keep in mind that we would need sufficient members to run each one, which may be difficult.

It would be set either in early Second Age, before the Rise of Sauron, or in early Third Age, after the Battle of Dagorlad.
Basically, everyone RPs as some sort of evil creature. Orcs, goblins, wargs, etc. As Morgoth/Sauron (depending on the era). The evil forces disagree who should lead, as Sauron has not yet emerged. The disagreement turns into a debate, and then into a war. Basically, all the evil leaders are trying to smash all other evil leaders. If an evil leader is smashed, the person who smashed them takes command of that group too, unless anotehr member of the conquered HQ challenge sthem, in which case they duel for it.

So, a smashmatch, every RPer for him or herself? Maybe as a special event sometime, like a kind of tournament.

sounds interesting.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.

Great idea! I like it, and would definetely play that. Actually, I'm kind of feeling that after about a year of play in a Fourth Age RP, Tul Generas would challenge Grulkogh in a similar fashion.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

I'll second that. For our main RP, this absolutely shouldn't be it, because it has the same issues as allowing the capturing of HQs (forces players out of their HQs, encouraging leaving and/or inactivity). However, if we get multiple subforums for different RPs, this would be a great option to have in addition to a Third- and/or Fourth-age RP (maybe with a First-age one). Kicked-out players would still be involved in other RPs, and the people who want to capture HQs will also be happy. Plus it'd include another level of strategy that our other RPs don't have (that is, diplomacy and foreign relations).

Just about, yes. There are still HQs, but the HQ leaders have to be aware that they are going to face a rebellion at some point. The goal of non-leaders is to overthrow their rulers and seize power, but they can do it slowly, or remain loyal to someone.

I agree - I'm not proposing this as the main RP, for reasons you've stated above. I think the different style would be very interesting to have my idea in addition to the main RP, as it involves a lot more planning and strategy; players can remain loyal to another for ever, follow orders then turn on the leader, or betray them at once.

Regardless of the issues you've mentioned, I wouldn't want just this because I'm not as good at the foreign relations/betrayal part, unless I'm on the lower end of it.

That does sound like fun, in addition to the main RP(s). Different from what we've done before, but in a good way.

Just realized I never really explained how this was going to work. Basically, an RP needs to have as enough votes that, if everyone who voted joins, there would be enough people to cover each HQ (and then some, preferably). So a 4th Age RP could probably be run with only 8 people (votes), and the 1st/3rd age options would need more. So far, we've only had 7 people vote total, so I need a few more people to vote to see what everyone wants.
