Wow, "renewal" nice going! Wait they dooooO!!!!! Is that for opening day only or what? That's so cool!
Ok I'll give one more go for the Fear one.... Is it "Danger"? (Also I love how you're just trolling him like an angry fast food costumer XD) Also for the Fraud one could it be Deceit?
For the AMC news, I'm not sure.
Nope, but good guesses though. It's mask. The Batman hides behind a mask of fear, similar to a line spoken in what I think was either Dark Knight Rises or Batman Begins.
I figured out the "misinterpretation" one before the day ended through the "renewal" one. Notice how the phrase "new" and the first two letters "Re" are repeated, almost as if they make up two parts of the riddle? So, I thought that was cool, until I realized the same could be applied to the "misinterpretation" one. *mind blown*
"Or perhaps a blend of the two" is a hint to combine the answers, so looking through the dictionary the word con was one possible find. Then confusion, which stumped me for a while, but then I realized fusion matched a second part of the phrase and it turned out to be correct.
The reward was a zip file hidden behind a password, and for that I did look up the answer. I know, I know. After typing in promises, I recieved a video titled "Thomas Wayne Lies" which turned out to be a fictional campaign ad set in 2001 that had words spray painted on countering whatever Thomas said followed by a still image of a question mark. There was a whisper in the background that I'm not sure what it's saying, but I think it's the word "lies".
After refreshing the page, the chat bot asks if Thomas Wayne can be trusted and whether you type in yes or no you recieve a picture filled with symbols like those from the trailers. Using a alphabet sheet I found online, I was able to decipher it and it read "Maze of Riddles." This ties in with what the chatbot says at the end of having come to the end of his riddles.
*clasps hands* Welp that was fun. I checked again today, and it still has the same three riddles. So, we've truly come to the end.
Wow you're really good at this. That's supper cool!! *Hold up hand for high five* Are you planning to watch it in theaters today?

Got a surprise invite and saw the film. 8/10. Loved the detective elements, but loses two points for waaay too much foul language that makes you wonder if a 12-year-old edge lord wrote this and for a throwaway line by Catwoman that really doesn't makes sense for those who don't live in countries like the U.S. (I mean, you can't blame a certain race for corruption in places like Brazil or yakuza gangs in Japan. I...don't think the writer thought that line through well enough for it to hit like they think it does.)
Also, not as much fatal traps as expected. Much like the Dark Knight, the violence wasn't that over the top. Basically, (to describe as much as within realm of guidelines) combine a certain 80's action flick about a cyborg police officer with a certain film series about a British spy, dash of Dark Knight and you get this film.
But that opening...*chef kiss* Not to mention the thematic poetry throughout the entire film. It makes any film student burst with joy.
Also. dis best Batmobile and no one can change meh mind.
Mods, please allow this to go through...
Update for the website. It seems to be on a countdown, though not sure if its for its closure or for something else. Looked for info online and people speculate it will be at 100% on March 9th. The website leaves a reward that reads
"You think I'm finished, Bat?
Perhaps you don't know the truth?
Every Ending is a new beginning.
Something is Coming...
Fall."
Plus, this that I'm not sure if they are dates, or perhaps things we have to add up. I heard one rumor that its counting down to the release date of a certain scene that was cut from the film, but that the director enjoyed a lot.
{JAMMERS! -THE BATMAN 2022 Film SPOILERS!} The real villain of the film was not Edward or the crime bosses, but the anger that drove Bruce onward.
Edward was merely a dark reflection, and the crime bosses a shade of the Wayne Family's past. Overcoming it, going through the fire to become a diamond in the rough, that was the true journey. He needed to shed off the jagged edges to become the true hero that could make a difference, not merely driven by anger.
*insert floating spongebob meme*
Wow that's a better rating then I thought you'd give it , glad to hear that it's that good! Too bad about the writing oopsies they made. I'm excited I'm gonna try and get friends to go with me to watch it.

{JAMMERS! -BM2022} It's funny how critics are complaining about it having no jokes like that's a downgrade. It doesn't have in your face jokes like Marvel, but there are funny moments that if you are paying attention you can catch.
I know BVS and BM22 fans are disagreeing about the better Batman portrayal, but one thing to unite them is the never-ending criticism of "movie bad because no jokes".
I went to a relatively calm theater, but what's even more funny is when you and your friends are the only one's laughing with one random in the theater because we all caught the blink and miss joke.
Oh, and one more tip. This isn't a superhero film, more like a crime thriller. Might want to keep that in mind upon viewing the film.

OH yeah that's annoying. Funny how the "critics" don't catch the subtle humor tho. XD

Yep. What ever happened to constructive criticism? Besides the two lows I previously mentioned, the film could have done with some tighter editing, and the Wayne conflict could have been fleshed out a bit better. (It just needs one minor tweak to make it flow better, but I won't go into further detail because then we'd be entering extreme spoiler territory.)
But on the basis of no humor, you are going to ignore the character arc Batman went through? BVS fans have a lot more in common than they think, because even though I didn't enjoy some aspects of the film, you couldn't deny that the idea of an aged Batman who has nothing left to lose finds hope in the humanity of Superman was pretty awesome. Something similar happens in BM22, a young inexperienced Batman with only two years under his belt is allowing his war on criminals to be a violent expression of his pent-up anger at being helpless in what happened with his parents. The start of the film has him dejected, unsure if he is making any noticeable difference. (Avoiding mentioning the corresponding shots that visualize this journey as they are spoilers...), after having Edward and his goons be a dark mirror as well as learning the human condition with the truth about the Wayne's, he realizes vengeance cannot be his sole drive. Think of it like this, your actions are good but the reason behind them are not actually heroic. At the end, this changes and he learns that its more than dishing out vengeance, it's about providing hope too.
Also...I saw a comment criticizing Batman for appearing in the daytime as if the film had committed a terrible sin. Shall I direct you to countless other Bat-media where Batman had appeared out in pure daytime. (That amazing scene in the JLU show between Batman and Ace for example...)
In other news, I knew there was something up with the numbers. So, on the website, the numbers are in fact dates and editions of comic books of when each character within the The Batman film made their first comic book appearance. What is really striking is the mention of Two-Face... (I thought you had to add up those numbers, but pretty close.)
And a slight update on the translation of the hidden message, it is "Full truth" not "Fall". So apparently, we don't know the "full truth" until the website finishes loading, which now might be either March 9th or 12th. Unless one of those dates listed on the website gives us a clue.
Also, props to Ed. He truly did think of everything.
(Good try internet...good try.)
Wow I relly don't trust the critics on this movie. XD They're not doing a very good job. Oh that's neat! A cool little ad in for the comic book lovers. (Haha lol.)

I believe one has to see it for yourself as everyone has a different standard for what is "cinema." The reality is no film is entirely perfect (as seen in the lows I previously mentioned), but one can recognize the good aspects within them. (However, I'm still gushing over the camera work throughout the film. Placement of objects within each frame is key to figuring out each of the riddles.)
Yeah, both the website and film's callbacks to earlier comics were cool. It was fun seeing them interwoven within the story.
Though, no matter what iteration of Batman film you are a fan of, Alfred somehow is always perfect in every way. The website is almost at 50%. Almost there...
{JAMMERS! -BM22 Spoilers} Although the throwaway line from Selina dates the film terribly, one could make the case that the film works against that one line, because it was spoken out of a place of anger and trauma. The scene where Bruce stops her from acting upon that "vengeance", speaks volumes about his character development as in the end she helps save what she had previously seen as "the rich elite."
Still, as any comic book fan knows, Selina is not the good guy at the end of the day. She is out for herself, so her line during the last scenes of the film about wanting to cause trouble for "CEO types" proves ironic as standing before her is the head of Gotham's largest corporation.
But this is only my take, and I wouldn't hinge one's viewing experience on another's. Except, be warry that this is a really grounded setting, so that means the places where Batman visits can be pretty "grown up."
My plan is to let my brother go watch it (He and I agree on most of our movie views) and then hear from him how much I'd like it.

The website is at 99%! Something is about to happen! (o.O)
{JAMMERS! SPOILERS FOR THE BATMAN2022} *wheezing* The contents read like the lyrics to a kid's first attempt at punk rock. (On one of the pages it appears he was interrupted while writing...wonder if the landlord was calling for his rent..)

How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!
Welp, the GCPD show has been replaced with a horror inspired series about Arkham...and a mobster show about Penguin. (D.C. you had something good going on...now here comes the oversaturation.)
Funny though, this reminds me of a project of mine from a few years ago I put on the backburner since I didn't have the tools or budget to see it through. It was a parody series about a group of friends working in Arkham Asylum as a summer job in a weird coming of age story type concept. Humor with an underlying maturity about it is how I'd best describe it.
After learning that famous director Christopher Nolan himself had to rather painfully abandon one of his scripts after another famous director was creating a film on the same subject, it kind of makes one feel at ease about having the same thing happen to you.
It appears that the success of The Batman has made D.C. revaluate their other releases, because a good portion of films slated for later this year have been pushed back to 2023.
Yeah. Who knows, it might still happen as a web series in the distant future. I'm mostly concerned with how audiences will react. You have so many ideas you've refined over the years, but no resources to make them. Then when you do have them, your inbox is spammed with angry people accusing you of riding off another person's success. Ah well.
Sonic 2 releases on April 8. *throws on knuckles hat*

Huh that's strange.
Oof.
Woot! Lol.
*lowers visor*
So, it appears I must resume my quest to obtain a refund. Might I suggest Arkham staff please confiscate all laptops, smartphones, and other electronic devices from the premises? (My guess is someone smuggled in a 3DS...)
