Not neccesarily. You'll just have to be ready to fight a large assortment of magic without anything to help you, except some medieval weaponry, and maybe a few magic creature allies (like goblins, orcs, dwarves or fairies.)
How about anti-magic weapons?
Well, those are technically a kind of magic in what I was thinking about; Making or finding them is a similar process as making or finding other magic artifacts, but yes, such things would be in the world. And actually, if someone was to primarily use anti-magic and then medieval weapons, they might very well find themselves the most powerful person in the RP. Of course, that's all completely subjective. . .
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.
There were some big pirate factions emerging after the fall of the Empire and Jabba the Hutt though. One of the factions even stole a Super Star Destroyer!
Yeah, but these bands of pirates will not form the scenario I'm looking for. It'll just be the Rebellion and perhaps Imperial Remnant running around whacking pirates and eachother. I was proposing a staring contest that breaks into a fistfight between two alliances.
Force users who aren't Jedi or Sith so they just start fighting each other?
Well it seemed that magic was super-important to have. Okayden.

Actually, you do need a slight plugin overhaul. The moderate accounts plugin is outdated, and I might recommend the post quarantine companion plugin, if you don't have it already.
Also, some quick scrolling buttons would be nice.
Well, that's true. However, the post quarantine companion is nothing but a pain in the neck unless you expect minute numbers of posts.
What's the point of quick scrolling buttons? All you have to do is scroll up and down normally.
Ok.
Then you obviously scroll differently from everyone else. Using a button to go back to the top of a page is a lot easier than wearing out your finger spinning the scroll wheel.
I'd like to put it to a vote.
Besides, you have plenty of plugin pieces left. 34, I believe.

Although, if it were a magic roleplay, the focus would be for most RPCs to have magic.

So you need magic to fight magic.
no. I did say Maybe with the creature allies.

Yes, and it's highly likely that even if someone were to have more powerful anti-magic devices, their would still be types of magic that could slip through: And anti-magic field would not affect Soul or Time Magic, and while an anti-curse sword could keep the user unaffected by those, it wouldn't harm spells using elements or physical objects to attack.

I'd like for Shadow Magic to be practically unheard of/nonexistent, so I can have my RPC create Dark/Shadow Magic?
If we have magic, we'll need to decide how advanced tech is. It could be like League of Legends, with hextech, an amalgamation of tech and magic being common in wealthy places. Guns and what-not being fine, but not common place, and typically for the wealthy, while the lowers use swords?

Define Shadow Magic. Are you talking about Magic like what Shadow Charmers have in Fablehaven? Are you talking about Dark Magic from Once Upon a Time? What powers are you talking about and what differentiates them from other Magic? Also, a large amount of magic will not transfer over from person to person. Each person gets a random spell book (Or at least, it's random IC. OOC their will often be reasons.) which will have several common spells in it (a couple types of location spells, a few destruction spells, a sleeping curse etc.) and a large number of spells more specific to that spell book (a scepter that can drain life, a potion that makes the user an Elemental Being, a smoky curse that makes a creature do your bidding etc.)
In most cases, Medieval Technology. The Idea I have is that everyone is magically dropped here from random realms, and so everyone has different knowledge and weaponry and skills. So one person might have a bow, while another was dropped in holding a gun. One might know how do build plasma-based weapons while another might have once groomed horses for a noble family.
