I’d say live-action should be allowed. Doesn’t hurt to have more characters to choose from.
But then wouldn't that include Darth Vader, Indiana Jones, and Spider-Man? I thought Marvel/Lucasfilm stuff wasn't allowed, but if that isn't allowed, why should Pixar be? We need to set up a specific rule regarding what characters/locations/objects are and are not allowed (if there isn't one already.)
Because Star Wars and Superheroes have their own RPs. Indy could have one. I’d say PotC, Tron + Pixar should be allowed.
I'm posting another update chart so that I don't forget who's claimed which characters. I'll also write how many characters you all have left to choose, assuming we're doing five.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Depending on how many worlds we start out with, we could just add new ones as we go along...I guess what worlds we choose would probably be based on the characters in the RP, right? But I kinda feel the same way, it might be better to have a giant universe mashup. Guess it could work either way, what do you all think?
Well...thank you, Rome. I'll be happy to help take charge, though I want to make sure everyone's happy with the plans we decide.
If we did do individual worlds, I was thing that people RPing could hop worlds with their claimed characters, e.g Ralph in Arendelle or Flynn in San Fransokyo, (which would be really weird but for the sake of the Role Play. ) Yeah... We should decide on a few different major locations at least. What are some signature Disney realms? Yeah, it could... Oh, I just had an idea! How about just one huge map, incorporating all the worlds we like, and when someone wants to go to a certain place they can travel there by sea/land/air (or even a teleportation device perhaps, or) on a mode of transportation from any Disney realm. What do you think?
Well, where would we be without your infinite Disney-wisdom?
Yeah, that'll be good. (It would be super weird but really interesting to see. ) Well, I think (if we're going off characters we have in the RP, respectively) so far we have Wonderland, Gravity Falls, the Hundred-Acre Wood, San Fransokyo, the Pride Lands, Pixie Hollow, Arendelle, Corona, and some other locations that either have no name or are based off a real place. Of course, that's if we're creating a new world every time a different character joins the RP. (For example, the only Pixie Hollow character we have so far is Rosetta. So should we create Pixie Hollow for the sake of one character, or wait until/if we get more from the same movie...? )
That would be very cool. If we can get that and the portals in this, we should have a whole working system set up.
TheGreatCon has already claimed Mushu, actually. And...well, RomeNZ has claimed Mufasa, so...how does that work, like...is he alive, then, or is he a ghost...what's going on here. I'm not sure that really works, unfortunately. Besides those two, the other characters are all yours.
(That is, are we including POTC in this?)
Why not include all live-action? Doesn’t hurt anyone.
I think the uncertainty was caused by the fact that POTC is rated PG-13, and I didn't know if we were doing that or not...
(You'll be fine! RPing is easier than it sounds. )
@everyone Will we be following a storyline?
Perhaps,
All the worlds live seperate from each other. Things happen in each world. Then, something big happens, and a place called the “Disney Castle” formed from pieces of each world, with portals leading to and from all the worlds, appears. Characters begin to use these portals for adventure, discovery, and personal gain.
I think I understand -- so in this case, three users would play the main three hyenas, while the rest would just be assumed to be there and still be under Scar's command despite not being represented by a user. That seems like it'll work, though I'm not sure what a good number of minions would be. Or it might be easier to restrict the minions to the three played by users, like you said.
I’d say building chains, but that might overcomplicate things way too much for beginners.
I don't even know what that means, so that shows how much of a beginner I am.
