I believe that this works on all versions of the game except DS and defently not with the saga game but it works best with the Xbox edition here's how to do it:
1. Go into episode 6-1 select free play and play as a sith of your choice. darth maul, count dooku, the Emporer, Darth Vader, whatever
2. ride a spider droid to the 2nd room in the palace
3. Use the force on the black thing
4. Now riding on the droid fall into the hole until your character is not on the droid you now can play as spider droid
Bounus. If you press the L or R button to change characters then press the same button you used to get on the droid well, I won't spoil it for you.

Q: what happens when the spider droid get's hit Or get's smashed? A: he will just respawn like a usual character
