Name: Othaurus Age: 20 Species: Octoling Gender: Male Appearance: Typical male octoling in LEGO minifigure form. Strangely, ripped-up brown bandages are haphazardly wrapped around his hands and arms, but other than that, he wears traditional octoling armor with a chi harness on the chest, and a large sword sheath on his back. Othaurus' tentacle/"hair"/ink color varies, but is usually yellow or orange. He has bright red eyes. Weapons and Gear: Othaurus carries a huge sword that looks far too heavy to wield with one hand, but he's able to do so when his strength is increased by chi. When he doesn't have chi plugged, he's just barely able to wield the sword with two hands, but usually doesn't, due to the physical strain, instead switching to his secondary weapon. Othaurus' sword is made of a strong metal painted maroon red, though only bits of that red can be seen, as the sword is mostly wrapped up in thick brown bandages, just like its wielder's arms (interestingly covering up any and all symbols or insignias carved or painted onto the wide blade). His secondary weapon is a Splatershot Pro modified to fire chi laser blasts (the color of the blasts, however, will be the same color as whatever ink Othaurus has stored), and it fires ink if Othaurus runs out of chi. Personality: Despite his intimidating appearance and stature, Othaurus is outgoing and humorous, frequently conversing enthusiastically with anyone who approaches him to talk... usually, at least. Other times, Othaurus is quiet and distant, staring into space with something seemingly on his mind. In battle, Othaurus is serious, focused, and honorable. After the battle between the Octoling's leader and Agent 3, Othaurus, while still outwardly loyal, privately resolved to cure his tribe of its darkness from within.

OOC: Man, this makes me want to have an Inkling/Octoling character.

(OOC: Speaking of, i think we need to create another topic in order to keep track of how many tribes and how many members they have. Been wondering about that for so long and haven't pointed out to ask the issues at hand. )
(Othaurus continued) Backstory: The son of historians, Othaurus spent much of his childhood learning as much as he could of Chima's history, and hoped that being drafted into the Octarian Army would provide him the opportunity to explore Chima beyond the Octolings' territory. Othaurus eventually got his wish, as, at age 18, he was one of the few octoling elites assigned to scout beyond Octo Valley, to gather more information about Chima and its tribes. It was during this time that Othaurus found his sword. He hasn't told anyone except the Octoling leader where he got the sword, and even then, there's whispered speculation among the octolings that Othaurus lied about that. Othaurus also met the alchemist and potion master of the Snake Tribe, Saleem al-Yousif, during these solo scouting missions. Expressing his distaste for his tribe's leadership, the snake discussed political philosophies and ruling systems with the young octoling, which contributed to Othaurus' desire to transform his tribe. Two years later, Othaurus recently sent the Octolings' alchemical research to Saleem, allowing the snake to finally create a resurrection potion in conjunction with his own findings. This was seemingly the start of a secret collaboration between the two to take over their respective tribes, but perhaps there is something more to Othaurus' plans...?
OoC: Octarians are actually child prodigies- they're drafted into the army at nine.
OOC: I know, I was saying that he didn't get to go on the scouting missions until he was eighteen.
Note: My Inklings and Octolings have chi-infused clothing, so they do not have to wear harnesses. These five them the same functions as gear abilities in game (e.g. make them run faster, their weapons stronger, etc.).
Chi does run out eventually though (one Chimian usually burns through multiple orbs in a battle), so they would have to have chi orb slots to refuel. Or maybe they secretly got ahold of Eternal Chi?
OOC: Man, this makes me want to have an Inkling/Octoling character.

-the Young Adult Octoling grunted and looked seized, he’d quickly turn from the approaching octoling girl and soon super-jumped to higher elevation in this urban environ-
Good Neptune did that young woman see me?! -He thought to himself as he escaped, maybe he may run into another octoling that may or may not have the Sonic v. Shadow Rivalry he wants...-
Nana looked a bit confused, but shook it off. She turned to her Inkling friends. "Is not anything. We are working, yes?"
"Yeah," Jen replied a bit breathlessly.
" That was weird, " Dan muttered under his breath.
"I think I recognize him from somewhere," August added. " I might have seen him pass by somewhere. "
OOC: Oh, I thought this was the Inklings' HQ. Are Octoling soldiers allowed here?
IC: An Octoling with an enormous sword on his back walks by. He stops and looks straight up at the place where the other Octoling jumped, as if he can see him even from this distance.
Othaurus thinks out loud: "I wonder what he's doing here... exercising his limbs or tentacles by super-jumping all around?"
Leonardo: "The Snow Leopards are already prepared, and if the Dragons return, the other tribes can take the trials to be able to use Ice Chi. We're already offering these trials to any tribe interested at the moment."
Lorekeeper: "Good, shall we send a message to Kueen Kyuru?" -he said, giving a readying signal a scribe besides him-
Leonardo: "That's probably a good idea. Yes, contact Kyuru, if she's recovered from the attempted coup de'tat within her kingdom, that is. War can be psychologically damaging, especially if it's an unexpected war, brought about by people you trusted..."
Turtles' POV: Tyron and the others in the castle look down from the tip of the mountain-shaped Turtle City, seeing a lone piranha walking toward the city, armed only with a sword.
Guard on radio: "Your Majesty, the piranha is Piratox. He demands to fight you and you alone."
Tyron: "Something's not right... surely even Piratox wouldn't be so bold as to come to the gates of our city, completely alone."
Snow Leopards' POV: The battalion from Kyuru's castle approaches Cavora. Scouts sent ahead report that they hear movement in the lower part of the mountain. batonmaster500
Saleem's POV: Saleem and Fulcrum stand at the helm of the Eternal Fleet's flagship, as their zombies navigate the ships through the desert's largest river. When the fleet approaches the Snake HQ, Saleem halts their advance, and talks through a loudspeaker.
Saleem: "Attention Snake Tribe! Weather they overthrow each other, or birth successors, our kings and queens have grown weaker and weaker over the centuries! Even now, your queen has failed to maintain an alliance with the Flygons— an alliance birthed by marriage, no less! The rest of Chima is at war, as the Snakes lay vulnerable under the leadership of this queen, who has little to no experience in war! As you can plainly see, I, Saleem al-Yousif, who has outlived several generations of Snake monarchs, has experienced and studied war, has unlocked the secret to reviving the departed, and has found the lost Flygon Fleet and Eternal Chi, am more fit to lead you than your current queen! I wish not to fight any of my fellow snakes. I shall patiently await the queen's surrender and resignation." TheFirstDecade
OOC: WOW, it was a while ago that I'd posted this. Whoops.
Turtles' POV: Piratox roars: "TYRON! I DEMAND A REMATCH! A ONE-ON-ONE DUEL BETWEEN WARRIORS, TO END THIS RIVALRY FOR GOOD! A TRUE KING WOULD AGREE TO THIS PROPOSITION. WILL YOU, OLD FRIEND? OR PERHAPS YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF YOUR TITLE?!"
Tyron: "Fine. I shall meet you on the doorstep of my castle for this fair duel, Piratox."
Typhoon: "Wait, Your Highness! Like you said, something's not right!"
Tyron: "I know. If Piratox has a treachery planned, I'll retreat into my shell, and you bombard the spot of the duel."
Typhoon: "Understood, Your Majesty."
Saleem's POV: Saleem: "I'm still waiting for your decision, your highness. Will you do the right thing and surrender, or will I have to reluctantly attack my own future castle? Obviously, there will be less casualties if it's the former, wouldn't you agree?" TheFirstDecade

Scribe: “Writing this down, sir!” -he said, quickly getting to scribbling it up-
Lorekeeper: “We need to being her back, she is a kind and wonderful woman. Although slow and cold, she is beautiful in her own way.” -he said, nodding-

Hmm...ability chunks could be used to refuel, or even using/being in their own ink enough, similar to charging a special. I would imagine there could be some more traditional squids/octos who still use the traditional method. I like the idea that military Octarians wear Chi somewhere on their bodies, or that they use it to power their machines (along with or replacing Zapfish).
They could also have chi slots on their ink tanks.

-suddenly, Saleem could hear some hisses from below-
Skales: “ALASSSS, I HAVE FINALLY FOUND SSSSOMEONE WHOM ISSSS LIKE ME!!” -the lovely blue Hypnobrai screamed out-
Acidicus: “HEY, DOWN HEEERREE!!!” -another Serpentine hissed out, the Venomari jumping a bit-
-Meanwhile, in the Snake Pyramid, Sa’Qhala looks out, very worried in fear-
Sa’Qhala: “Oh d-dear... wh-what will i do...? Wh-where’s Flygarra’s military?!” -she says, very confused and scared-
-Meanwhile, The Pygmy Owl’s military is slowly approaching Saleem’s position. Owlina must’ve have gotten a emergency transmission from Sa’Qhala...- -meanwhile back with Tyron, Typhoon, and Piratox...-
-A lone young adult Torterra was watching this unfold from the rafters above them, a teenaged Female Torkoal and a male Young Squirtle watched as well-
Torterra: “Hey look guys, we’re about to see a fight, fellas.” -the Torterra young man said whispering, pointing to Tyron, Typhoon and Piratox.-
Torkoal: -in a raspy dry voice- “This may be fun ta see a fight between sum two water types.” -she snickers, looking very intrested in this-
Squirtle: “KICK HIS BUTT, TYPHOON, GOOO TUUURRRTLEESS~!!!” -the little kid says, screaming it out at the top of his lungs, the other two gasps and try to cover his mouth, hoping not to be seen-
Torterra: “Shut up, squirt! We only snuck in here to explore and we had just walked in on this!”
Chi does run out eventually though (one Chimian usually burns through multiple orbs in a battle), so they would have to have chi orb slots to refuel. Or maybe they secretly got ahold of Eternal Chi?

-Suddenly, Agent 7 makes a very bad landing, only one foot made it on a ledge, and with him falling, yeowch thats gonna snap a bone... if he had any, since he was an Octarian. But he screams and ends up falling a block or so down to where Otha is-
