Sure, Inkling and Octoling minifigures would be cool. I'm not sure how the non-humanoid Octolings would work, though? Maybe there are just a few, and they're considered Legend Beasts? (That's an animal in Chima who decided not to drink the chi, and received a few special powers to compensate, usually just one of each species, but technically there could be multiple in a tribe.)
(OOC: I need to remake the Fanon Chima Map then, i dunno where the last map revision was made, but i gotta make the islands that hold the Kangaroo Tribe and Aggron Tribe. You mind reminding me where things and territory is placed within this chima so i can have a gist of where to plop things down?)
The Turtles' Carapace Cove (also known as Crescent Cove) surrounded by a huge claw-shaped area of land which, along with the turtles / tortoises territory on land, takes up much of the bottom left corner of the main continent (so, southwest from Cavora). The Piranhas' rainforest and the Chimazon River should be to the east from there (so, south of Cavora). The Snow Leopards' kingdom is in the ice mountains north of Cavora, the Dragons are frozen in the far south, on an island just a few miles south of the mainland, and I think that's it for my tribes.
Leonardo: "The Dragon King? Drakonus Ven, you mean. Hmm... this just keep getting more layered. Yes, I'll contact Kyuru, see what she might know..."
Lorekeeper: “Your memory serves you well, m’lord. My mistake.” -he nodded-
Lorekeeper: “It may be me, but i believe this dreaded tribe will come back from the volcanic south someday, why aren’t we preparing to defend the land we protect?” -he said in concern-
Leonardo: "The Snow Leaopards are already prepared, and if the Dragons return, the other tribes can take the trials to be able to use Ice Chi. We're already offering these trials to any tribe interested at the moment."
I like to think they lost Chi to the other animals and are striving to take back what was theirs. So yeah, bad guys.
The J DJ Octavio (or an Octavio-like character) could be a Legend Beast though, unless someone wants to be Octodad or something. (Eh, would we count that as a different species?)
Also, in-game, Inklings and Octolings can turn into squids and octopuses at will and hide in their own ink. That's OK as long as it doesn't make them OP, right?

While Adam's group explores the castle, the city of Inkopolis is bustling with residents and visitors alike. Businesses are already open, and Inklings begin their days with a splash by participating in early-morning Turf Wars in the Square.
Meanwhile, somewhere a few blocks away, a young girl's eyes flutter open. She forces herself off of her foam mattress, still unused to such a comfortable place to sleep, and rubs the fatigue out of her eyes, then stretches her arms. Looking to change our of her nightgown, she looks through her wardrobe and finds her favorite sweater. After putting it on over cloth pants, she looks in the mirror. Another day without tight goggles and heavy armor. She smiles.

Agrakai: "We will help restore your power. I promise it my top military generals will be of great resource to you to help defeat the FLA." -He nodded, looking in promise about it.-
Flygarra: "I thank you heavily for this my freind... y-you will forgive me for the threats i made against your kind back then, right...?" -he chuckles sheepishly, brushing his antennae akwardly-
-Agrakai's face shifted to a "really with you?" look, looks like this apology and forgivenness isn't gonna be accepted so easily...-
Agrakai: "Once we Aggrons get done restoring your power, we'll still need to occupy your oil fields and strategic towns and cities in the deserts of Chima. Sa'Qhala and Owlina didn't mind our military peacekeepers in their territory, your kind is iffy on it." -he said, crossing his arms, looking sternly at Flygarra.-
Flygarra: "o-oh.. f-fine! i-it's n-not like we n-needed that resource an-anyway!" -he said, trying not to be so mad at him since his timid nature is coming back.-
Agrakai: -he smiles warmly- "Thank you, Desert Storm Lord Flygarra." -he said just as Love had returned with the beverages, turning to her.-
