I know this has been a pretty sparse roleplay, and I do want to fix that.
There were a few reasons for this, though, and I'd like to go through them so that they don't become problems later on, as they have slowly proved to be.
For an obvious start, my activity wavered. Of course, I find this kind of silly, since I check by here daily. There are other reasons for my inactivity, though, a few of which have to involve my personal life, but others do involve this place, or just the internet in itself.
Second, I didn't plan this roleplay out enough, not just in the story, but character creation, too. I felt like there wasn't enough background to work with, and there isn't. It's too sparse, like I said. I think, if not many people come back, I'll just do a full restart and work on this from there, and hopefully finish set-up within a month or two.
Third, waiting for players seemed like a bit of a chore, and did lead to a bit of my inactivity. It's hard to explain exactly why, but I suppose I can say part of the reason was because it hindered the roleplay, and while I waited for the person to reply, I became a bit more inactive as time went by.
To solve the first, that's pretty simple. Second, I already mentioned my first option, or my last resort, which is to restart the roleplay entirely (aside from the lore) and work on adding to it. I could also just add on. And third, that will depend on the activity of the players.
I also noticed that there is a lack of players, and I'm not sure how to fix that other than advertising and activity.
Anyways, I want to continue, but for now, I'm going pretty slow. If anyone isn't joining in or has any ideas, please speak up.

GM-Style Roleplays always struggle with these kinds of things, especially the third. Sometimes, you just have to keep going even if your players aren't quite with you. Another thing that I feel is important is not overestimating the potential longevity of your RP. You have to keep your storyline fairly short, or chances are you won't complete it.

I think at this point, I'll have to try later. SOLs are around the corner (I'm not homeschooled, so I have to take huge tests like that), and I do have a busy schedule as it is. I think I have time to only chat here, not prepare any sort of roleplay.

Good luck with those, then. I have a lot of big tests right now too.
