Elf years tend to be similar to the LotR lives, but that might get a bit confusing, so I'll keep it as it is.
I really like the detailed backstory you included! Very nice!
What does her name mean, anyways?
Okay.
Thank you.
It is from an old naming tradition that has long been forgotten most places except for those like Tresarya. The five parts are given name, parentage, home, profession, and marital status. So, translated, Elowyn's name is Elowyn, daughter of Brylun, from Tresarya, Healer (literally, speaks to souls), Unmarried (literally, without soul band). Her profession is also indicated by her staff and the pale blue trim on her robes, and the loose hair signifies unmarried.
Wow! Very detailed indeed!
I'd usually be a bit iffy about people making up places, but this matches lore well enough to where I'm completely fine with it.

Well, we can hardly make backstories if we can't at least name the towns where our characters are from.

That is a good point. I really only mean that if I made a map already for both lands, and someone comes in and makes up their own place. That's the only problem I have.
Weapon: Black cane topped with a small silver falcon, wings outstretched, with an emerald set into its breast. Silver dagger covered in arcane symbols, with a black leather sheath. The dagger is concealed within his robes; easy to draw, but hard to find if you don’t know its location.
Character Traits:
Dexterity: 1 = 1
Strength: 1 = 1
Constitution: 1 = 1
Intelligence: 1 + 6 = 7
Wisdom: 1 + 3 = 4
Charisma: 1 + 9 = 10
Appearance: Tall and slim, with piercing grey eyes.
Spells:
Flames of Darkness
Black flames that burn with cold. Can be concentrated in one blast, multiple minor blasts, or used to trap of protect by forming a wall or circle. Last seven minutes if the user is fully focused on them, but only operate at peak efficiency for three. They’re strong enough to hold back lightly armoured enemies for five (those in full armour could get through) but start to flicker and die for the last two, leaving openings that can be exploited.
Binding Fyre/Ropes of Darkness
Creates black bonds that restrain foes. If they struggle, it burns until they stop. If they struggle hard enough, it burns unceasingly. Ropes of Darkness is a variant that does not burn. Both versions last for three minutes, after which they turn brittle and hard (the primary version no longer burns in this form). The hardened ropes last for four more minutes before disintegrating, but depending on the way the target is bound, they may well be able to snap them before that.
Plant Surge
Plants in the area are corrupted, turning black and growing fast, directed by the will of the user. Useful for restraining or distracting foes.
Break Mind
Allows the user to read the minds of the target, and manipulate the thoughts of weak-willed beings (NPCs).
Annihilate
Blasts inorganic objects into dust (small organic things like plants and small animals are still affected). Most effective when used on a small area, but is still dangerous if the target is large. Sentient beings radiate an aura that protects them from its effects, and are simply blasted backwards, with NPCs often being knocked out.

Great RPC, but I would like it if you could create a more solid appearance, because I can't completely picture what you character looks like just based on "Tall and slim, with piercing grey eyes", because I don't exactly know what you are wearing.

I get what you mean. It's hard to build your world if people are always coming in and adding whatever they want. By that token, since we're here and talking about this, I also named the city that Srevis is from. He is from a larger city, which I am calling Lemirgwesv (where tall trees stand). You can change that if you want, but I thought I should run it by you either way.
I'm gonna go ahead and allow everyone to submit another application, mainly just to make sure everyone I'm interviewing is active and actually wants to have the job. Also to allow some users that got here recently to sign up. This will be directly copied and pasted, but I will update it, if that helps.
Question 1 Would you prefer to be a writer or someone who prefers to create the classes, races, quests, etc?
Question 2 How much time are you willing to put into this job? (Please say days during the week, not hours. With moderation delays, it's not easy to say hours.)
The writer is someone who helps create backstories, quests, and general lore. The other job - the general committee member - is meant to help create everything from races to places to explore. They also help create ideas to add to the RPG.
Please sign up by the 20th.
I was just about to say "Please get your RPC in by the 20th", but I think everyone's in! If you didn't create yours and I missed you by accident, please tell me or make it before the 20th.
One last thing: If I asked you to edit your character at all, please post your RPC again to make it easier to copy and paste to a notepad document on my computer to make my job easier.

Oh, sorry - I must have deleted the rest of the appearance by mistake, as I do remember typing it. Hang on..

Precisely. You should give me the alphabet of the elves, if that's what language it is. I was originally going to add Srevis to the RPG, but you ended up killing him off, so that didn't get to happen.
Yeah, I'm fine with you adding new places, as I have no set map yet. I am slowly making one, though.

It's our alphabet, just different words. I'm using Cornish as a base language, though, because Elowyn's name is Cornish. Basically, what I've done is translated phrases into Cornish, and then distilled them down to the point where they can be single words. And then for the ones that aren't proper nouns, I basically put apostrophes around prepositions (or in the places they would go), so a’Tresarya = From Tresarya, di’Nakol = Without soul band, and Brylun’dam = Daughter of Brylun but because Kaldena is a proper noun there is no apostrophe, even though the direct translation includes a preposition.
And while I'm here I should add that Srevis's marital status was Trynakol'Ysela, meaning "cut soul band with Ysela", or "widower of Ysela". Divorce would be Luwnakol'[name], meaning "loosed soul band with [name]". Again, though, these are old traditions that most elves have never even heard of.
It would probably make sense to have a few characters that knew him or knew of him, though, since he would have been a little well-known, at least among some groups.

Question 1: I'd prefer General Commitee member, but if that's taken, I'd love to be a writer. Question 2: I can work for a bit most days, I'd say typically 6 out of 7 days to any time in the week. (minus events in my family life.)
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

I already did this, but I'll do it again just in case. By the way, I already put my RPC up but do I need to update it?
1. I can do either one. 2. I can do 5 days a week.
