I like democracy, and that election went well, so why not, every couple of years, we have an election. Candidates come forward, beforehand, to announce their candidacies, and then a vote is created, then we vote!

Well, it would be fun, but I think it's best that the Eternal stay in the hands of competent owners rather than someone ill-qualified for the task have that kind of power.
