Hi everyone, the following is something that, in light of what has actually happened, I am not proud of. However, I still see comedic value in this, so I have decided to post it here.
Bear in mind that this is an OLD APRIL FOOLS JOKE and it in no way reflects a current or future event.
On April 1st 2016 I wrote an April fools post where I wrote out a fake announcement that more or less mirrored previous cancellation announcements WhiteAlligator made in the past. It was exaggerated and meant to satirize the LMB moderators and the way they handle cancellation announcements.
No offense was or indeed, is, intended, and the post was and is all in good fun.
Hello everyone. We are very sorry to announce that after January 31st, 2017, BIONICLE is being discontinued. We've had a really good run. We realise many of our customers will be sad, but here at the LEGO Company, we feel that discontinuation of the greatest and most popular themes is the only way to continue innovation. The BIONICLE Message Boards are to be moved to the CLASSICS category, and eventually, be completely removed at a later date which is TBA.

We're very sorry for any inconveniance this announcement may have caused. We look forward to announcing the discontinuation of more themes, such as LEGO CASTLE, LEGO FRIENDS, LEGO MINECRAFT, and LEGO PIRATES in the near future.
We will have more to share about Upcoming LEGO themes in the distant future. In the meantime, you can look forward to the Bionicle summer wave of 2016! And don't forget to watch The Journey to One on Netflix, and follow the Toas on their journey to fight Umarak the Hunter and save Okoto!
Additionally, Greg Farshtey will be re-invited to wrap up the rest of the BIONICLE story, you can follow the new serials at:

Sadly, my prediction turned out to be correct. However, more than a year later, I still remember it fondly as a funny moment in my LMB career.
To further celebrate that topic, I am going to copy paste some of the comments from back then here:
"Guys. Just found this on some random website. Looks official. I checked out the html, it matches the announcements that Mcrqm-Dono re-posted.
Here we go. Deep breaths everybody. Very shocking news.
Well, you see, we've made some... questionable decisions lately, as a company. Bringing back Bionicle was one of them, as was continuing the Ninjago, Friends, Pirates, Creator, City and any themed line. The thing is, with our original lines, they're not selling as well as the themed lines. We think that this is because the sets are stagnating, being rehashes of previous sets. The themed sets are (for the most part anyway, you understand) selling better, because they're using new techniques, and new designs. However, even with the sales so high, the original company claims most of the royalties, as it is their original IP.
Thus, we have decided to take the company in a direction differing frrom what we've been doing for the past decade or so. To reimagine the sets, we're moving away from the building systems we've been using, moving to a new one.
Galidor. It is the ultimate combination of foam, rubber, plastic, and fun. We designed it years ago, but ultimately canceled the line due to a failing tie-in tv show. We've decided that it's time for Galidor to make a comeback, with a tie-in show on Youtube, to be posted in weekly increments.
We hope that the fans will enjoy this, as we certainly will be, as tests have proven that when it has no competion, Galidor is 100% of the time picked as the best LEGO line." -Post by Tiche9999
"After seeing the title and scanning through the first sentence my first thoughts were 'What kind of sick joke is this supposed to be? This doesn't relate to anything and is just a completely random declaration that seems to be very cliche.' Then I realised, it's April Fool's Day.
Well played mrcqm. Well played.
Admittedly - after realising it was a joke of course - I searched in the 'official link' in Google and the only thing that came up was this topic. " -Freybee
"'Haha! That's a good one! I was terrified!' *I put the finals stitch in my shirt, which aI had torn in utter rage, before entering a room and shutting the door behind me. Suddenly, the phone rings.*. "Listen here. You can throw a carnivorous rabbit at me, but you CANNOT prank me about BIONICLE ending and get away unharmed. I don't know who you are, but I have a very specific set of skills. Skills in small-scale pranks. I swear, I will find you, and after that day, you will never go a week without encountering money glued to the floor, or a barrage of water or rubber bands as you set off my trap. Enjoy your safe moments as I find you." *Line goes dead*" -Tahu-of-Fire
"Never fell for it.
Plus 2017 is next year.
But BIONICLE is only getting three planned years.
2015, 2016, and 2017.
If we want BIONICLE 2018, we better hope that the sales are doing great and people are loving G2.
Or ISSSSS IIIIIIT?! "-an exchange between ouberry, 6cuteboy6, and me respectively.
Anyway -- I hope you enjoyed this nostalgic look back at the old BIONICLE community. Many of the members I mentioned above are (if I'm right, which I hope I'm not) not here, sadly. And I sorely miss their presence.

This would be funny, if their wasn't a hint of truth...
On a serious note, LEGO did say the three top themes of the 90th Anniversary Vote were Castle, Pirate, & Bionicle. Now, have you noticed that Castle & Pirates have both received Lego Idea sets? That only leaves one theme left...
But again I might be entirely off in this prediction—maybe...classic space, the new rival

Lego has completely discontinued constraction is the thing <_<
The action figure era is officially dead for LEGO. :/

Welp, I was thinking about a playset. If I remember correctly, although Lego has discontinued that sort of thing, there is still a chance we could get a Bionicle themed set like that of Lava Chamber Gate or the Toa Terrain Crawler.
But again, a boxed set of all the Toa together would be cool, but this seems more likely if Bionicle does eventually come out on top. (*^_^*)

A limited 'remake' of the original BIONICLE sets could be an excellent nostalgia trip but I have a feeling LEGO Ideas is simply more likely to go for products that have broader appeal. Bionicle is an increasingly niche IP.
