Yeah, not every time of course, just a lot. it's just that there's a person under that helmet. ( or mask in the case of the ninja ) Even if at times they seem like mindless followers, when they get shoot or stabbed they are either smashed or laying there in pain most likely left to be forgotten. Plus that's all they've ever known, they think what they are doing is the right thing, when of course it isn't. Maybe I wouldn't feel bad if it was their choice, but it's kinda not. ( Which is why I liked it when they brought in Fin. Although I think they could have done his character a little better to fit the role of where he came from. )
I do that a lot. Sometimes I forget there are younger people on here.
(Sorry if I cause you mods any trouble.)
Me too. It's mostly politics, to much prsonal information and using the site the wrong way is what I get in trouble for. ( Even though I don't get in trouble very often, when I do I kinda panic. ) That post might have been a gray area though, because I was talking about another person. It doesn't matter though.
Yeah, when I come on I see "oh no, a message!" but most times it's not rejected posts.
Well, he obviously didn't because there were already people there. Or are you thinking of Leif Erikson?
Yeah, I was really thinking of Leif. Although the Native Americans why do people still call them indians the uncultured swines deserve kudos for getting there first.
Okay. Yeah, they do. It was Christopher Columbus' fault!

Even though the concept of grabing someone or escaping someone who grabbed you was serious, Lisa and Jadyn were playful about it and made it actually quite fun. There was a few times Sensei had to tell them to focus though. Like when they started to just talk about more advanced holds and escapes and forgot about what they were really supposed to be doing, or when Lisa said Jadyn and Zephyr weren't going hard enough on each other which somehow in the end resalited in a playful sand throwing war of everyone versus everyone. Once the sun started to set Sensei had them hike back to the dojo and once there explained his plans for the next day. In her free time that night, Zephyr worked on the skills she felt needed work.
The third day was like the second and first in many ways, yet fresh in its own way. Sensei had them do archary in front of the dojo. Zephyr picked up holding the bow pretty quickly, but actually learning to aim was much harder. The sun shown on the metal arrow as it few to the target. Unfortunately though, it only landed on the outer side of the target. Zephyr was at least glad it had actually hit the target, unlike half the arrows she'd fired so far. On her left Lisa fired a perfectly aimed arrow that landed with thonk in center of her target. Lisa smiled and turned to Zephyr shrugging and saying. " Practice?"Zephyr grinned, she could tell Lisa was trying to do her best without showing off to much. She couldn't exactly tell how Jadyn was doing from here, but she wished she could. The rest of the day they went over stuff they had the previous two days.
The following days involved more and more training. Zephyr eventually started making it a goal to be up before Lisa woke her up and schemed a plan to wake up early enough to wake Lisa up. Which didn't actually work when she tried it, bringing Zephyr to wonder if Lisa ever truly slept and was actually starting to believe Lisa actually could be a nindroid. Zephyr could do the warm ups on her own now, but that didn't stop Jadyn ,and Lisa most of the time, from joining her.
Sensei taught her more as week went by, things such as: More and different kicks, punches and blocks. More advanced escapes and holds. And basic weapons. Something Zephyr was especially excited for. The first weapon Sensei showed her how to use was a sword, wooden for training of course. She took to it eagerly, and practiced long after the lesson. They went over many other things as well and Zephyr could surprisingly see her own progress by the end of the week.
Jadyn was practicing his punches on one of the punching bags. Putting his all into each punch. " You know, those fists would be a lot more effective in battle if they were on fire. " It was Sensei. "Sensei... Why does it have to be me? Why can't my sister inherit the element instead? She's older! I'm not ready, fire reminds me of... " Jadyn trailed off, a look of dispair on his face. He was glad Zephyr and Lisa were outside with Peak, they didn't need to see him in this state. Sensei grinned softly. " I think we both know why your father choose you. " "But isn't there another way? A way that my father and the rest of ninja don't have to give up their powers?! " Jadyn asked desperately. Sensei shook his head sadly. " I'm afraid not, you knew all the trems when you agreed to be trained by me Jadyn, either except them or not. " "I know..." Jadyn sunk to the floor and put his head on his knees momentarily before looking up at Sensei and saying, " things will never be the same again though... " "True, but that might not be a bad thing. You'll be on a team with Lisa, and Zephyr, and also... a new student I'm going to start looking for tomorrow. Yes I'll be leaving, I was just going to gather you all and tell you, but seeing as you are not in the best of moods right now, how about I just go inform the girls without you. " "No, it's fine, I'll come with you." replied Jadyn.
Lisa watched Zephyr's expression go from curious to worried as Sensei explained why and when he was leaving. "So you're leaving us here... alone? " Zephyr asked nervously. " It shouldn't be a problem, you are all young adults, or very nearly young adults anyway." he said glancing at Jadyn.
" But you should all be fine, you have pently of food, I made a schedule for you to follow, and if I'm gone for more then three weeks I've got a list of emergency numbers- only use Dareth as a last resort. Just don't have any parties, don't do any realm travel, and if something happens to me, don't try to rescue me unless you have a sensible plan that you thought though first." Sensei finished. " Yeah wel'l be fine guys, no pressure. " Said Lisa hoping that would help. "Yeah... No pressure at all..." Said Zephyr though nervous gritted teeth.
The next day Sensei left early in the morning, Lisa, Jadyn and Zephyr did training for about half the day before they came to a break time Sensei gave them. Lisa decided to suggest that they hang out so they could all get to know each other better before the new student arrived. Neither Zephyr or Jadyn were very talkative today so she decided to bring up a topic that related to all of them. "So, who wants to talk about our elemental powers? " she asked cheerfully. Zephyr had suddenly taken interest in the wall closest to her, putting all her attention into the shapes on the wood. And Jadyn was starring at the floor, not focusing on anything really. Both were pretending like she hadn't said anything. Slightly aonyed, Lisa asked again. " Want to talk about elemental powers? " "No thanks. " Said Zephyr. "Yeah no thanks. "added Jadyn. "You guys have to be comfortable talking about your elements if you're ever going to unlock them. I'm obviously going to have the element of ice, and I will say that without shame. It is my lot in life, what are your's" Lisa tried to say it in way that she hoped would make them understand how important this was. " Ok fine Lisa," Jadyn said in defeated tone. " I'm going to be next elemental master of fire. " He said as calmly as he could. "Wait, that means you two are related to- " Zephyr's face brightened as she connected the dots "Wow. Awesome." Jadyn grinned at the positive reaction from Zephyr. Lisa was glad everyone was relaxed now, and her plan was working. "And you Zephyr?" Lisa asked. Zephyr hesitated, frowning a bit. Lisa could tell she was conflicted. By what, she didn't know.

O3O
Ooohhh. . . What are they talking about? Who is Jadyn's sister? Where are Kai and his spouse (most likely Skylor ) now? How did the ninja give up their powers? Why is this such a gosh-darn cool mystery? I wanna know moooaaarrrr!!
This is great! I liked seeing Lisa, Jadyn, and Zephyr train together, and ooh, I really know the story behind the conversation Sensei Lloyd and Jadyn shared! (And I love Sensei Lloyd!! ) TELL MEH MOAR.

(This kind of reminds me when our parents leave me and my siblings home alone for a few days. )
@bold: My reaction exactly.
Poor Zephyr. . . She doesn't know what her awesome power is yet.
( The story part before this one is on page 39 if you haven't seen it. ) *** Later they hiked to the same sand court as the day before to practice holds and escapes. Zephyr, Lisa and Jadyn all practiced each hold on each other. They were only doing arm and hand holds and escapes today. They did ones such as the Game Boy hold and other simple ones.
(Why did I only see this three days after it came out? )
Well done!
( * shrugs * I don't know, did you catch the part before that too? )
( Very interesting, thanks for sharing that! Hmm perhaps that novel I was thinking of writing isn't such a bad idea after all. )
(Ooh, a novel about Christian ninja? Count me intrigued! )
( Yeah it would require a bit of research, and I'm not sure how I am at historical fiction yet. But it's something I'd like to try writing if I get the chance in the future. It would probably be based around one person mostly and their struggles of being both a Christian and a ninja within that time and culture. )
