Jesus fulfilled those things. But he didn't fulfill music, that doesn't make any sense. We can praise the Lord any way we want, as long as it's honest praise, it's okay.
We aren't told to worship in that way.
We aren't told not to. And why not praise God however you can?
I know about the origins, the Romans used to worship the sun on December 25 to celebrate the return of longer days, but Julius I told them that was wrong and they should worship Jesus instead. So December 25 became a day to worship Jesus and celebrate his birth, instead of worship a ball of burning gas. The date used to be that of a pagan holiday, but it was "rededicated" to the Lord. I'd say that's a good thing.
Those people weren't even christians, who is this Julius you are mentioning, I think you mean Constantine or Aurelian.
I just looked it up, it's spelled Sinterklaas, but anyway, it's not pagan. Sinterklaas is the German spelling of Saint Nicholas, who was a Christian that gave money to the poor. A good person spreading the love of Jesus, but today he is remembered as Santa Claus bringing presents to all the good little children. He was a Christian man, but he has been incorporated into our culture in a non-Christian way.
No, something different than, this was before Nicholas, plus I reject the Saint thing. But that doesn't mean we should celebrate it. The Bible fulfills everything we do, the Lord's Supper commemorates his sacrifice, and we are told to worship him everyday, not just one day. is someone a Heretic for doing Christmas, No but its still wrong.
We should worship Him every day, but why not have a party about it sometimes?
Yes, my parents use that thing too, I listen and try to learn a little, we have a Coat of Arms ya know, and possibly a relative who fought at Hastings, but were not sure.
I've used it a little bit. You have a coat of arms??? Awesome!
One hundred million people were murdered by communist regimes across the world. Forty-nine million people can be attributed to a single man in the Soviet Union. You believe that one hundred million lives are not that impactful because the Soviet Union lifted a couple million out of poverty and built factories? That's beyond cold.
Jaws All the Indiana Jones Movies Close Encounters of the Third Kind E.T. Empire of the Sun Jurassic Park
He was buddies with George Lucas, with who he co-made the Indiana Jones Movies, and has almost always gotten John Williams to write the music for his movies(All the movies named above have John Williams Music.), and he recommended Williams to his friend George for the Star Wars movies, his work has inspired a huge number of later filmmakers of all sorts.
He's one the most famous film writers, producers, and directors, ever, basically.
And he was almost hired to direct Return of the Jedi, but sadly, he was too busy with E.T.
He also said the Old or Davidic Covenant had been replaced, he told us what to worship with, Instruments are best left out, this is surprising because I don't believe The Orthodox Church uses them.
... You mean the Mosaic covenant? The one with Moses, that never mentions instruments? Most Orthodox churches don't use instruments, but again I'm not seeing where Jesus banned music.
I didn't notice that mistake, but yes, the Davidic Covenant was when God told David one of his descendants would rule Israel forever.
Okay guys, final warning. Bring this thread back to an appropriate level, or it gets locked. We're fine with you talking about history, but keep it PG, guys.

I would like to point out that David played a harp to king Solomon back in the Old Testament.
USA and Nato also promised not to expand into warsaw pact and ussr countries, but they did. If Nato hadn't expanded there would be no crisis in crimea or else where, because Russians would have fealt safer. Why do people support Putin, because they are scared of the 1000's of weapons and Nato's ridiculous budget. They are worried that if the usa wants to they will steam roll Russia, and take Moscow.
We never expanded into Warsaw Pact countries for as long as the Warsaw Pact lasted. In fact, we wouldn't have been allowed to. When we tried to help rebuild countries devastated by WWII, the USSR prevented those countries from even attending the conference, let alone accepting.
I think that's a ridiculous notion, since all we have been putting our budget toward is preventing Russia from trying to conquer Europe. We don't want Moscow.
So earlier you said Crimea was about ethnicity, and now it's national security. What will the reason for Crimea be tomorrow?
Crimes is ethnicity, other expansion is about national security. Also Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania. Were all warsaw pact countries that are now part of Nato. There are nukes in Moscow. You say that you wont take Moscow, but Bush Senior said there is no point in taking Baghdad, I am certain that worked out well for the Iraqis.
