There are countries like Australia and Switzerland that come really close to being an absolute democracy but are still classified as republics, because they have elected officials who make a lot of the decisions.
Australia isn't a republic though. The Monarch remains the Head of State with the Governor-General representing Her Majesty. We continue to vote down the Republican Movement. The Australians of '99 did not want a House elected President. New Zealand is also very similar in that respect. Switzerland, however, is a republic.
A republic is a government that consists of elected representatives. Australia's PM and Cabinet are both voted for by the people, therefore it is a republic.
Wait a sec, how are you showing allegiance to the government and denying your allegiance to God by loving and doing the best you can for your country? How do acts of love for your country entirely revoke your allegiance to God?
I respect your opinions, but you appear to be treating this country as if it were intrinsically evil when it is not.
Exactly: I love my family, I am loyal to my family, I would fight and die for my family. The same goes for this country, and the same goes for God. I have not betrayed my allegiance to any of them by giving allegiance to the other. Should this government turn on my God or my family, I will quit my allegiance to such a government, as I would if my family turned on God.
I can have allegiance, respect, and love for all three but prioritize them so that one comes before all.

No, the Prime Minister and Cabinet are not elected by the people. The PM is elected by the party, as is the Cabinet. We elect representatives in a preferential system.
I am glad you asked, we are to render to Caesar (The Government) what is Caesars and to God what is God's, What's Patriotic, Having a Flag, Saying the Pledge of Allegiance, serving in the Army etc. Well that's showing Allegiance to Caesar, are only only Allegiance is with God, we pay taxes and hope we don't have trouble, We know that this world is Flawed and there will be a better place one day, but the World is a fallen and corrupt place, ruled by the Devil, all governments are tools of God, so yes The Soviets are tools of God, and those who fight against them fight against God, does that mean their Good, of course not.
Although, I suppose that could mean that ifyou feel respect is due to your country, you should give them that. It's definitely confusing, depending on how you look at it, as are a lot of the things Jesus said.
Well sometimes its better living in North Korea for Christians, there you don't have any confusion about Church and State, and There is most definitely a separation of the two.

Empires, that's what we are, all fall, do you think Christians in Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, or Pakistan feel their GOV. is great? AS Christians are only Allegiance is to God, The Devil rules Earth, so showing Allegiance to any Government is showing allegiance to Satan in a sense. What does this country matter? What does any? They will all fall.
The Bible Tells us there is good but nowhere does it say in power.
And the Bible tells us there were two of each animal on the Ark but nowhere does it specify what the dolphins and fish did, which is most likely "thrive on a flooded Earth."

This Country NEVER WAS following God, that whole Statement is flawed, We don't have Holy Land anymore, are New Holy Land is in Heaven, This Country will fall and something new will come, if this Country Follows God, why Than should it fall, why did "Christian Rome"?
