Khione sat in her throne, the icy, metallic throne coated in frost and ice. The castle around her was various shades of winter. Whites, blues and crystal clears flowed together, mixing with the silvery steel. The long icy pillars rose high, into the frosty air, converging onto a chandelier of steel and frostflame. Her secret weapon. The Ice Queen smiled, her pale blue lips curling in sinister delight, showing off her pearl white teeth. Frostflame. The blue, sometimes white fire, that froze instead of burnt. That burnt instead of froze. The pure embodiment, the purest form of both Ice and Fire. Frostflame, a single drop in which could render 10 of fire frozen. Two drops, and 20 Toa of Plasma would freeze to death. She frowned softly. She turned her milky white eyes to an erected basin. Within the depths of it, it was filled with water. Khione's eyes darted to one of the corridors which lead to her throne room.
A guard, bearing black armor, with a white crescent moon in the center, denoting his status as hailing from the Court of Phoebe. He carried a torch, lit with bright, red flames. "M-my queen," he muttered, shivvering. "The ac-a-a-acolytes are prog-r-ressing as f-f-foretold by L-Lady T-Th-Themis!"
"No fire.." Khione murmured, too quietly for the guard to hear.
"I b-b-beg your p-pardon?"
"No fire." She repeated, somewhat louder, yet not enough for him to hear.
"What?"
"NO FIRE!!" She screamed, a rush of cold hurling from her mouth to the torch, snuffing it out. The torch itself flickered, growing icy, before shattering. "Do you not understand my rules?! Do not grow sentimental. It is weakness. Do not hold fire. It is blasphemy. And do not desire for any more than what you have! It is a sin... And I shan't allow it." She utters. "Who are you?" Khione asked sharply.
"Captain Deija!" He responded. He began to hug himself, to keep warm.
"Captain.. Deija.. Come here." The queen requested, softly. Unsure, the guard warily stepped closer to the irritable queen. She opened her mouth, her eyes glowing with energy. Blue vapors began to pool out of Deija's mouth, entering the Ice Queen's. His skin began to dull, his eyes growing glazy, as he withered into a fragment of his former self. The queen smiled, her milky white eyes growing bright, crystal blue pupil, which slowly swirled outwards in a spiral, encompassing her iris, her pupil turning black. The guard's body crumbled to the floor, withered away into a husk.
The war quickly approached. Khione was sure. As the prized student of Eos, Khione learned how to read the sky. And war was coming.. A rebellion. Khione could smell the discontent in the air.. Mnemosyne would betray them all, it was a matter of time. After Rhea's untimely demise, Mnemosyne had no reason to stay loyal. This was a very precarious game that Kronos was playing. Deceiving not only Theia, but Typhon and Pasiphae? The King and Queen of Monsters? When Theia found out, all would break loose. Sure, Theia, Typhon and Pasiphae wouldn't rebel against Kronos, but they wouldn't support him. That would diminish over half of his armies, without the monstrous comrades. With Krios falling ill, and Koios taking care of the fallen brother, his generals were not very plentiful. Tethys was not a fighter, and Mnemosyne would betray him. That left only Hyperion, Oceanus, Iapetus and Phoebe. Themis was no fighter.
Only four generals, and the King himself. Potentially five generals, if Kronos could convince Typhon... Doubtful. King Monster was nothing, if not stubborn. The only one who could convince him to change his mind was Pasiphae or Nyx.. Nyx however, was asleep, and Pasiphae was too petty and resentful towards Kronos. That left four generals. However... Where was she?
She raised her hand, and the basin froze over, several figures forming, a map of ice materializing. Kronos, Hyperion, Oceanus, Iapetus and Phoebe in one corner. Theia, Typhon, Pasiphae, Krios, Koios, Tethys and Themis in another corner. Mnemosyne, Demeter, Atlas, Metis and Semele in another corner. Three lines formed, dividing the frozen map into thirds. Khione thought. Mnemosyne and the rebellion had the advantage of their mind shifting. Kronos and the Order were very dangerous, with their elemental capacities, but small in numbers, most staying neutral, or turning to Mnemosyne.
This war.. Would be glorious..
All..Will.. Fall..
