{JAMMERS! -Evil- ONLY!} I need you to wipe out 8legos archers. I have plenty of archers, so I can wear down his infantry, but elven archers are devasting my forces.
Also, any general damage to his army would be good.
True, but Melian's power would not give them any light comparable to that of Valinor. It would make the Sindar better than the Silvan elves, yes, but not that much
Better, yes. Not wildly. The Silvan and Sindarin elves are both branches of the Teleri that never completed their Great Journey westwards.
They cannot be made by Morgoth. When the Ainur became corrupted, they lost their powers of creation. Morgoth could not create, only corrupt. He could do this to a great extent (elves into orcs, and presumably some sort of bird into dragons) but he could not make anything.
Also, none of the Ainur (uncorrupted Valar, or otherwise) could create actual souls. They could create life, but any life that they created simply shared their spirit, and simply knew what their creator knew and did what their creator wanted them to do, with no will of their own. Only Eru himself could create living things with their own wills (or at least, he had to grant them free will, as in the case of the Dwarves).
OK, I realize that I'm not a part of this conversation, but it looks as though you've strayed somewhat off topic.
also, adding to the bird trail, he seemed to have corrupted ents into trolls, and it was probably lizards into dragons, and birds into Fellbeasts (possibly even Eagles).
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

Morgoth did not corrupt ents, rather he made orcs in mockery of ents. Much like he MADE orcs in mockery of elves. Tolkien never said where the orcs came from. And they may have bound to Morgoth's will, I need to do some reserch on that.

Actually, we are unsure of whether or not he made them, or if he corrupted them. I've done plenty of research/leeched off of other's research, and orcs and trolls were not made by Morgoth, although he did create the race, by corruption.

He did not make them, as they had free will. If Morgoth had made them, they would have followed all orders to the letter. Eru is the only one who can grant creatures free will. Anything Morgoth made would have been incapable of free will, as KK said.

There's a difference between "make" and "create". Aule created the Dwarves out of essentially nothing, but Eru had to specifically grant them free will. Melko made Orcs out of the Elves, corrupting and mutating them to change their form, but keeping the wills that they already had. Tolkien said that Melko also made the Trolls as a mockery of Ents, but he unforunately never said how. Also, different versions of the legendarium tend to conflict with each other, and it may be that this is something that Tolkien simply overlooked.
Alright, Shamrock and 9Ringwraith, sorry I didn't get to this until now. So, I have 8,000 MWE of Lorien elves here, 9RW has 8,000 (not sure what the MWE is), and Shamrock has 5,500 MWE. From what I can see, combat has been between my elves and Shamrock's goblins/orcs so far, mostly arrows and artillery.
I think this is a good time to calculate losses, while I try to figure out the general situation here. 8L well outnumbered Shamrock's artillery, so probably 20-30 of the ballistae are destroyed, while all of Sham's artillery is gone. As for the archers, both sides had heavy losses to start, but then 8L used pavises to defend his archers, so his losses after that were a good deal smaller. I'm not sure about numbers right now. Shamrock, your thoughts?

All of my forces were on the rising land next to the mountains, and have the advantage of height and the cover of the dale, while your troops are still in the land just outside it, giving them a lot less cover, and are shooting upwards. This means that while I'd have slightly greater losses, it's not that much.
Shamrock, while your troops may have a height advantage, from what I've seen you never said they took cover. Though I don't deny some of them likely took cover, your troops were more exposed than mine. And again, I emphasize the use of pavises on 8L's part. That is sufficient cover, and while it doesn't eliminate losses, it vastly reduces them. So I'd say your losses were more than just slightly larger than mine. Not greatly, but a good deal.

Does he need to? Orcs are very selfish, and want to survive. Also, it's rather easy to lean backwards off a cliff face or kneel behind a rock as they reload their weapons. The Dimrill Dale has sufficient cover in most depictions of it That I've ever heard of/seen (not the Movie one, but then from what I can tell, the movie depiction isn't accurate at all.)
