The Rohirrim are well known for their cavalry and spearmen, but I wanted to expand on that. The chief value of cavalry is the mobility allowed, and I'd like to expand that to the rest of my troops.
My cataphracts are somewhat similar to what I want, but they're mostly built for horseback, with their lances and longswords. Instead, I want something both mobile and strong on the ground, which is why I'm proposing Rohan have some sort of Dragoon force.
Now, I've done some research on Dragoons, and I wanted to clear something up - these aren't cavalry. They are mounted shield men and spearmen that only use the horses to move around the battlefield, before dismounting at another location.
If you guys pass this, I plan on using it mostly for archers - moving them around to fire on the flanks of the enemy - and shield walls, since mounted shield walls aren't as stable as grounded ones.
Thoughts?
Kitkat, would you mind checking these out?
I see no problem with these. You're just using horses to move some of your troops, right?

A quick clarification - a siege tower is worth 30 SMWE, right?
Also, a unit I think was passed earlier but I didn't see it on any lists; a grappling ballistae. Medium size, worth 15 SMWE, pretty much a regular ballistae but it fires 1-2 grappling hooks to secure to a ladder/rope, or a grappling hook with chains. Has armor along the front with plates to protect the operators. Sound good?

Right, but this doesn't allow much flexibility in what you use - but that's up to you, so that's fine.
Marksmen of Tirith Aear Worth: 4 W/A: Crossbow, light mail, short sword Description: The Marksmen of Tirith Aear are highly trained archers that specialize in picking off enemy leaders from a distance. Their crossbow has great power and range at the expense of reload time. They are commonly used as snipers. A Marksman can load his crossbow, climb to a vantage point (like the mast of a ship) and take down the Corsair captain before he has a chance to give orders.
I would like to propose a couple units for Rhun and Khand. Please comment on my costs, I am still learning how to value people.
Ram Horses Equipment: Two swords, horse has a shield in front of the head with two horns coming from it Description: These horse riders ram their battlehorses into the enemy lines, breaking them with the horses momentum and horns. They then get off their horse to fight on the ground. Armor: medium, horse medium Cost: 7
Ram Chariots Chariot: Pulled by two Ram Horses(not their riders), open sided Description: This Chariot is use like the Ram Horses, but with greater efficiency, do to size of impact, and greater force behind. It has room for two people and a charioteer. Armor: Iron reinforced Cost: 15
Variag Pikemen Equipment: A pike and tower sheild, an axe Description: These Variags beserkers have been trained as pike men. With their heavy armor, they are diffucult to kill. Though trained in the axe, they are more proficient with the pike. Cost: 12

The first two look good. Nice, strong linebreakers that can wreak some serious havoc. The third one, however, I think is a bit too pricey to be useful for you. I'd drop the cost down to maybe seven. You'll still have very strong pikemen who are more than adequate with an axe too, but they'll be much more affordable. Putting the worth much higher is just a waste.

The Variag Pikemen are the same unit as the Variag, with different equipment. The Variag are worth 10. These have more armor and pike. Should I reduce both of their costs if The Variag Pikemen are overpriced?
