I finally got the opportunity to see the Super Mario Movie, and I greatly enjoyed it =D
Without going into spoilers, it was (in my opinion) a wonderful blend of several different Mario games, with plenty of opportunities to point at the screen and say, "Look, it's Super Mario!", along with slightly more obscure references. While it's only 92 minutes long, the film is the perfect length for its target audience, without feeling the need to be a kids' movie specifically -- even if it's not the longest, the film has been made with the utmost love and care, and handles the source material quite well.
Overall, it's ultimately lots of fun, is largely faithful to the games and is honestly still probably the best video game movie adaptation I've seen =D
(I may end up posting a fuller review with spoilers included, but I'll likely take a little bit longer to make such a thing =P )

Here ye, here ye!
A tale of woe I relay to thee!
Harken thy ear and listen!
Xbox 360 Marketplace is closing up shop for good on July 29, 2024. This includes Xbox Live Gold memberships, gamertag name changes, purchasable content such as avatar pics and constumes, game trials, etc. Essentially a repeat of the eShop closure.
Sithee, this news has made me realize just how old my Xbox360 truly is. Tis a bittersweet evening.
However, if anyone knowledgeable in the arena of selecting one of the newer xbox models, t'would be helpful. I'll be needing to keep up with Tron:Evolution's Multiplayer. (And this post counts since a number of LEGO games are available to xbox. )

Ah, it's always saddening to hear of such services being removed. While I don't have an Xbox, I still appreciate being notified in advance.
Unfortunately, as previously stated I do not own an Xbox so I likely wouldn't be able to help in that regard, but I wish you the best of luck in finding one, and pleasant gaming in the future =)

Unfortunately it appears to be the end of an era, as Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, is retiring from voicing his characters, instead receiving the new position of 'Mario Ambassador'. It's very sad but understandable, as he can't continue to voice Mario forever, and it's nice to see that he'll still be involved going forward.
Charles Martinet has done a phenomenal job over the past several decades, and whoever the next voice actor is will surely have some big shoes to fill.

I suppose we all are entering a new chapter, considering all these closings of a book.

TTYD REMAKE? PAPER MARIO IS FINALLY BACK???
I didn't think it had been long enough since Origami King's release for a new Paper Mario game to be announced, but in today's Nintendo Direct (among other things, such as more detail on the Super Mario RPG remake) a remake of Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door has been revealed, which I'm very much looking forward to =D It appears to very faithful to the original, keeping all the same mechanics and the same battle system while giving the game the paper aesthetic and polish of the newer games. It looks extraordinarily beautiful, and I can't wait for its release =D (I would also like to point out the single purple Toad in Glitzville, who I don't think was in the original? I wonder if they are just a new character, or if they also serve some new purpose, ie allowing for amiibo compatibility?)
The Super Mario RPG remake looks excellent as well, I like the possibility of a postgame as well as the changes to the actions commands, especially given how some of them can be frame-perfect in that game. Speaking of the action commands, the new Tri-disaster spell looks like a wonderful addition -- I can't wait to try all of the different character combinations, perhaps certain groups will have more effects, such as healing and / or a power boost for the Mario, Geno, and Peach trio? Either way, being able to watch them directly team up to destroy things together seems quite fun =P (also, with the extra mechanics and postgame boss fights, it seems like we may get harder difficulty settings...? I don't want to get my hopes up, of course, but that would most definitely be cool)

Unfortunately, it has been announced that all online functionality for the Wii U and 3DS will be fully shut down in early April of 2024. This excludes the Pokémon bank for now, however I would recommend transferring any Pokémon from generations 1-5 to the current generation regardless, as it may still be discontinued at a later date. StreetPass will also remain, as it is a built-in feature that uses local communication, and so you will still be able to encounter Miis in StreetPass Mii Plaza. SpotPass will no longer be available though, as it uses online communication.
While regrettable, this is just a part of the evolutionary process for gaming consoles. Online functionality and services can be discontinued, but what can't be taken from us are the memories we've made through it =)

It's wild to think the Wii U and 3DS are both over 10 years old! At least StreetPass will live on...

And so ends my Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Pokemon Trading Buisness. : (
To all my loyal customers, I hope you enjoyed the Fossil Pokemon and treasure them always.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has released today! =D
I've begun my playthrough of it, and it's very enjoyable so far. The lack of player collision in multiplayer can be a bit jarring at first, but aside from the decreased potential to boost off of eachother, it doesn't seem to take away from the gameplay at all =P I haven't gotten far enough in to encounter much of the new content, but everything I've experienced has been fun and unique. It's been an excellent time so far, and I look forward to playing it more! =D
{Potential spoilers, discussing theoretical content} Rumors abound that there may be a "secret character" who can be unlocked, and while I have not verified whether this is true, I have certain characters I would like to see if it is. Though I'm personally hoping for the inclusion of Rosalina or -- just maybe? -- Captain Toad, I think Bowser or Bowser Jr. would make fitting postgame characters, assuming there's extra content after the main story as well.
