Yep, same. I actually just added all the rest of the ranks recently though, so that's good.
Nice! Besides school, hows life?
Thanks. xD
Eh, it's pretty good. I don't do halloween, so I'm just looking forward to thanksgiving and Christmas. I still can't believe it's already the middle of October
So, they're supposedly considering a The Lord of the Rings TV series.
Maybe it'll be good.
Maybe.
Best to have the torches and pitchforks ready just in case.
You gotta be kidding me...
No remake will ever surpass Peter Jackson's adaptions.
No, unfortunately, I am not.
It's just one article, but it's from Variety, which is a reputable movie magazine. It says There are talks with Amazon, of all things, to produce it. It's supposed to be incredibly preliminary, so it may not even happen.
I'm holding out hope that maybe it will be a anthology type series set in the same continuity as the films, so they could get outfits, props etc. out of storage and get Weta Workshop again.
There's ever so slight a possibility that it could be a well done, worthy adaptation of LOTR itself, that even if it lacks the scope of the movies and books, but at least would allow us to see some characters that were left out.
But it will probably be some horrible modernized perversion.

Oh well, we'll always have the movies.
Oh dear...
So it's in the pipeline..? I know what you mean; that it'll give a fresh perspective and include more, but as you said it'll most likely be some ugly modern rendition.
I actually saw a video hinting that Peter Jackson would adapt The Silmarillion somewhere down the road, but I don't think that he'd be allowed seeing his job on The Hobbit. What do you think about the fact of more Middle-Earth coming to the screen, even if it would be just a thought?
