A transport arrives on Scorden Island, and out of it steps Seris Rax herself, carrying her infant son and presumably followed by Spalyx Vance. Lady Rax's arrival is met with cheering from the Forgotten West, who guide their formerly anonymous leader to the main HQ they'd built for her in the center of the island.

-Miss Vance would wave the others cheering, but soon begins to lag behind, feeling an.. unsettling feeling setting before her.-
Spalyx: “H-huh? What’s.... going on?” -she’d say, turning round, looking out to the sea, she could hear eerie whispers and distant roars and sounds of Combine activity, only she could hear this...-
-she’d look out deeper west, something was out there, possibly a return of the Combine, and a new enemy they were probably going to face in the future...-
”...i gotta tell Seris about this...” -she’d say to herself, hastily walking back with Seris...-

-Scordon Arrives to the shorelines of the West Sea, he ventured down south to go find Lighthouse Point, he has the need to venture out into the west sea, he wonders whats out there, so why not liberate an Airboat and go explore the deep oceans?-
-He'd soon was over at Lighthouse Point, he could see some Scorpions and Bats in the vicinity, he'd walk over into the compound and look at his surroundings, looking for the garage...-
-Some Forgotten Grunts notice and wave-
Forgotten Scorpion: "Hey! Dr. Freeman! Recently heard you were on St. Olga Island, were you?! Guess the explosion from the Citadel must've sent you there, eh?" -he'd said, nudging his shoulder, ther fire wings scorpion shaking his head, he was going into the west sea for a different purpose, a discovery.-
Forgotten Bat: "Cheers, man. You guys out there in the outlands kicked their alien butts! and with the death of Breen, he land of Chima is free from alien threats from the Combine!" -he'd cheered, hissing in victory-
-However, Freeman didn't feel any of that, he was too concerned about the Pheonix Isles and how to get to them, if they are even marked on a map!-
-Well, nothing better to do with the silent protagonist is to verbally assert his dominance within the forgotten by threatening a local dockyard to lease him an airboat and supplies, he gets his way and gets into the Airboat, unaware of an... odd disturbing feeling...-

Upon getting to Seris' command office in the middle of the base, Spalyx finds that Seris has already changed from a princess's clothes into those of a politician; a white suit similar to Balthazar's, with the same kind of shoulder pads, only Seris' are red instead of blue. Seris is talking to other Forgotten commanders with political aspirations when Spalyx enters. Guard: "Governess, there's someone who wants to speak with you." Seris: "Ah yes, this is Spalyx Vance. I'm sure you've all heard of her. She most recently helped me escape from Spider Tribe captivity, and I wouldn't have made it here without her." The Forgotten "politicians" greet the veteran.

Seas are smaller than oceans and are usually located where the land and ocean meet. So you are technically correct, but since this island is supposed to be far from the shoreline, then technically, we are in an ocean.)
