Lol, I have checked out 40 books at once before, back in 8th grade when I really liked the Babysitter's Club. I got to like book 114 in that series. But yeah now it takes me much longer to finish a book thanks to school. I used to read a book a day, and then I started playing sports, got a job, and school got harder. (and the books I read got longer too lol. You could read 10 Babysitter's Club books in a day if you wanted to bc they're so short)
Yep.
That's a lot of books, and a lot of reading. But yeah, with school in the way you can't read as much. (Right, that makes sense. More details and more description with bigger books. )
Yeah if I got grounded, it would be from books. xD Yeah, school takes up a lot of time... reading the textbook itself is so time-consuming. (Yeah lol. And with the babysitter's club, their plots are all so similar that I wouldn't have to pay close attention to details. )

"You know, that narrow path uphill
That summer vacation... felt oh so far away
I'm sure you think there's not much difference,
But once we become adults...
Knowing that we will probably never meet again
I'm looking for a lifetime's worth of words.
It's so strange.. I didn't think my vocabulary
was really this lacking.
By tomorrow, everyone will be gone... and the morning will come.
When we will learn of a trembling quite different than that of just loneliness,
On a simply precious day of parting.
But don't look back now... We've have got to go!
Even if we can't say "See you again someday..."
I still remember that secret password
And the pure red sunsets that only exists after school
Saying "Goodbye" doesn't quite fit us,
Even if our fates remain derailed far into the future.
We've managed to share this time together... At least in the beginning.
So even if it all were to disappear...
That one bond... will never come undone!
When I think about it now, those fights that we had... Our secret shortcuts... And how beautiful you were... Our youth, coming separately to an end. Every one of those days treated us so kindly.
Even if the only thing unchanged is our memories We only need a single shining light. To illuminate us when we got too far astray Just one is all we'll need!
But don't look back now.... It's not much further. No one has their young years last forever Even if we manage to stay fine... Each time we're worn down We just have to keep on searching
Saying "Goodbye" doesn't quite fit us, Even if our fates remain derailed far into the future. That Last Sunset that Ties us Together, Well never be forgotten... Even if it were to disappear That one bond... will never come undone!"

Ah, I see. Parents didn't like that you were reading too much? So true. Textbooks can be so dense and hard to read as well. (Wow. That makes it very easy to read, I guess. )

Yeah I used to stay up until maybe 4am reading. Not a good habit. Not reading was my punishment for pretty much anything I did bad xD Ikr? My World Geography class doesn't even have the same content in it's quizzes as it does in the textbook. The professor says she just rewrote the course, so I'm guessing they started using a new edition of the book... but the information shouldn't be that different.

Wow. You really got sucked into the book. That makes sense. Just a time out with no books, I guess? Wow. That's pretty crazy. I have no idea how geography can change, at least within the span of changing textbooks.

Yeah, the Boxcar Children especially. Yeah pretty much lol. It's crazy, ngl. It's more like the new edition took out tons of information. The quiz will ask about the Sikh and the British when the Sikh and the British were never mentioned in the first place! The textbook is online and I'll even use the find tool to see if it's there and I missed it.
