My favorite by far is The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, being one of the first books I ever fully read and it's captivated me to this day.
My favorite quotes are also done by Tolkien
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us" and "If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world." He said some really deep stuff, anyway, that's all I have for now!
"A forest was discovered recently in which most of the trees grew ratchet screwdrivers as fruit. The life cycle of ratchet screwdriver fruit is quite interesting. Once picked it needs a dark dusty drawer in which it can lie undisturbed for years. Then one night it suddenly hatches, discards its outer skin that crumbles into dust, and emerges as a totally unidentifiable little metal object with flanges at both ends and a sort of ridge and a sort of a hole for a screw. This, when found, will get thrown away. No one knows what it is supposed to gain from this. Nature, in her infinite wisdom, is presumably working on it."

I am flolloping in excitement as a mattress would have. Yes indeed: I feel the urge to flurr, glurr, gup, willomie, and yes indeed: wurf. For my name isn't Emarcee Zem.
