Welcome to my GM-Style Roleplay. Create a character and embark on adventures across a diverse world, honing your skills as you meet many people both friendly and not, do battle with fearsome beasts and powerful armies, and discover ancient secrets and hidden artifacts. All this and more awaits, so, I implore you, join me.
Characters should be posted here. If you've already posted a character, please wait for me to introduce you.
What is a GM-Style Roleplay?
Simply put, it is a type of Roleplay in which you (the player) state the action which you would like to do and I (the GM) tell you the result (success, failure, etc.). They were fairly popular in the Castle forum on the LMBs until near the end.
What will this GM-Style Roleplay be like?
Results of actions will be determined on a percentage system, with success rates being generally situational. It will take place in essentially the same world as the Castle RP, but would be part of a different canon and mostly take place in the North. There are no set Classes, but instead I design or pick an existing Class for each character. Text descriptions of scenery and events will possibly be enhanced by pictures of LEGO MOCs made in LDD. The plotline will be relatively short, though I'd love to extend it if I have time, as in my experience GM-Style Roleplays don't last all that long before slowing down and eventually dying. It is possible that I will only complete one adventure. I'd love to do more, but I don't know if I will have the time.
What is required to join?
As in all GM-Style Roleplays, you first need to post a profile containing information about your character. Your profile could/should include such things as Name, Race, Class, Skills, Equipment, and Backstory. You don't need to do anything like statistics, as I would be handling all that myself. You also need to make a commitment. I understand that real life takes precedence, but it is hard to run a Roleplay without any players, so try to post at least two or three times a week, and if you know you will be inactive please tell me beforehand. By the same token, I need to be active to make your experience enjoyable. I will tell you whenever I am going to take a leave of absence or if I expect to be on less than usual for a little while. If I'm active on the Boards but not posting in the Roleplay, find me and tell me to come back.
Additional questions? Please ask me here. For those who joined before the Roleplay actually began, I will start it once this post is approved.

You have recently arrived in a small viscounty in southeastern Vasilio. It is generally a quiet place, far from the tumultuous border with the Goblin Nation, far from the less contentious but still tense border with Mornornia, far enough from the sea not to be any sort of trading center, and far, at least in a cultural sense, from the bustling capital. In fact, it is barely a part of Vasilio at all, nestled in a cold, wet region on the border of the Great Forest and generally ignored by everyone. Upon your arrival, you found an advertisement from the Viscount himself, asking for adventurers to help him combat the bandits that have recently begun to plague the area. You applied for the position and were accepted, perhaps to your surprise, or perhaps not.
You and the other chosen adventurers meet at the castle gate just after dawn. Most of the shops in the surrounding town haven't even opened yet. At the best of times, this town is slow and quiet. This is not the best of times. A soldier is waiting by the gate, "Are you all here? The Viscount does not like to be kept waiting." The near-absurdity of that statement does not seem to register for him. You realize that, living here all his life like most of the viscounty's inhabitants, the Viscount is probably the most powerful man he has ever met. You may feel as if you now occupy that position, but you do not say as much, at least not yet.
OOC: Please reply to this post so we can get started. If you don't reply within a couple days we will start without you.

Viscount Adelmar is a short, stout man with a thick mustache, curly red hair, and droopy eyes. In the dingy hall, the only things that stand out are his throne and fine clothing in the same shade of green as the servants' livery.
Once you get close enough to the throne, the soldier stops you and bows, gesturing for you to do the same. "Welcome, heroes," says the viscount in an almost sarcastic tone, "I am Viscount Adelmar of Marchasul. As you may know, we have been experiencing problems with bandits lately. I humbly request your aid in removing them from our fair lands."
