I think I'll place HoT (now that I've seen it) right in between "Third Best" and "Third Worst." It had a good, fun story which I enjoyed, and the whole "time" thing had a lot of opportunity. I mean, sure, for a time travel season, it didn't use its full potential, but it was still a great season with interesting story and development. I think I'm one of the only people who think this, though. It's probably because I was expecting the season to be horrible.
Favorites: RotS: This one is really fun and just...takes me back, to when I was nine year old and my grandma first put on Ninjago for me. Overall, it has a stronger plot than Season 2 and it's interesting to see the backgrounds of the characters first played out since the pilots. Skybound: Okay, this is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I love this season, I really do. The struggles between Jay and Nya finally get resolved, for one thing, but other than that, my favorite character is finally really looked into. The ending did sort of ruin some of it, but it also calmed the storm that was the events of Skybound. SoG: Okay, so this one isn't complete yet, but I really like this one so far. The animation is gorgeous, I'm liking Lloyd's new voice so far, and they took Ninjago to the next level without taking away its signature sense of humor ("Rocky Dangerbuff" was hilarious, and Jay is amusing as always). Harumi is also a great character so far! Middle: Pilot: The pilots are my childhood, and generally, I think the series started off pretty well (despite Jay's hilariously failed grunts when he lost his voice and Zane's monotone). Also, you can really see what they originally intended to do (such as in the infamous "FATHA WOULD NOT WANT YOU TO DO DIS BRATHA"), and it was really interesting to see the younger Ninja, with Jay's cockiness and NYC accent, Cole's fear of dragons, and Zane's lack of emotion. Possession: Of course, like many of you, I didn't really like Lloyd being possessed, but Morro made a great villain (and later antihero), Jay's antics were great and lighthearted as always, and Zane's malfunctions were really funny. Least favorites: DotD: Now, this episode wasn't bad, but some of the only things I liked about this season were the scenes with Jay and his (foster) parents and Cole turning human. HoT: This one was just too weird, the villains were creepy and kinda cheesy, and the LIGHTING. There are some points I like about this, and "The Time is Now" is probably my favorite The Fold song, but overall, this was not a favorite season. S2: Again, I don't hate this season, it's just...it just seems so...cheesy and monotone compared to some of the other seasons.

After avoiding the Ninjago theme from the start, I recently found the Ninjago series on Netflix. I have now seen seasons 1-8 and here is my list from best to worst.
Season 4: The Tournament of Elements – 9,5/10
The tournament was great, many new cool characters like Cheng, Clouse and the elemental masters and the scene where everyone got his elemental dragon is one favorites in the whole series.
Season 5: Possession – 9/10
I really like the darker vibe of this season. Morro and Ronin were good new characters and that Nya was becoming the water ninja, was great too. My only big dislike in this season is the last battle.
Season 2: Rise of the Green Ninja – 8,75/10
Good story and it was great to see Zane's father, as well as an older Lloyd and Dareth.
Season 1: Rise of the Snakes – 8,5/10
Really close under The Rise of the Green Ninja for me, but still a great first season.
Season 8: Sons of Garmadon – 8/10
The story and the villains were interesting, the redesign looked great and the humor was better than in the last seasons, but I did not like the baby Wu.
Season 3: Rebooted – 7,5/10
Sensei Garmadon was a cool new addition, but the story was less interesting than the first two seasons for me.
Season 6: Skybound – 4,5/10
The pirates were interesting opponents and the Ninja B-Team was cool, but apart from that there wasn't much in this season what I liked.
Season 7: Hands of Time – 4,25/10
The backstories were the best part of this seasons and it was cool to see Cyrus Borg and a new Samurai X, but the rest of the story as well as the opponents were not really likable for me.
