-Dr. Freeman hissed at them, something was making him upset, and it was Scrin, even thought he wasn't around, Scordon knew something was wrong with the defacto leader of the Forgotten... The Pheonix took him away from his influence for a reason...-
OOC: No, it would appear not.
IC: Calloran Fen: "Use your words, sir. We're not primitive anymore."
(OOC: Ooh good. ) -Dr. Freeman shook his head, he’d growled, looking at them still feircely-
-Scordon then ceased his growling, looking around. He’d then turn his head when somebody piped up-
”Hey, isn’t that Scorpion Dr. Scordon Freeman? An famed Scientist whom slayed the former Scorpion King...?”

-Meanwhile, Forgotten Vortiguants go seeking many tactician's manuals and handbooks from military sections of various Eagle Librarys in the Spires, the wealth of Combative Knowledge will help... well, since these vorts are Ravens and all, they obviously steal many of them...-

Calloran Fen: "Craunus, we've just received word that our spy within the Scorpion Tribe has been executed."
Craunus Maximus: "I know. The Spider King has fallen since then, so maybe his son will be more open to negotiation then he'd been. In any case, I'll have the Republic's army join our Unichi allies in their invasion of the Outlands because of this news."
Calloran: "But don't we need hard physical evidence of the spy's execution in order to initiate a preemptive strike against the Spiders?"
Craunus: "Not in this case. We can say our primary reason for joining the Outland invasion is to help take Black Fang Mountain. We may or may not cross paths with the Spiders once coincidentally entering the Outlands, if you catch my drift. We won't attack the Spiders unless they attack us first. Then it won't be a preemptive strike."
Calloran: "Ah, I see. I'll contact Sirius and Scarabus. Their forces are in the Gorilla Jungle currently, so they'll be able to get to the Outlands fairly quickly."
Craunus: "Excellent. In other news, our contact within The Forgotten informed me that Spalyx Vance has boasted about her obtaining of Scorm from the Spiders' clutches, but she hasn't revealed where she took the former king."
Calloran: "Our spy's last report was that Skaulus Rax took his forces to Scorm City. It can be inferred now that the Spiders captured both Scorm and our spy, and, in an effort to keep the Scorpions from finding out about their old king's return, framed our spy for the injuries inflicted on Scorpio."
Craunus: "Precisely what I was thinking. Perhaps we can use this knowledge in negotiations with the new Spider King, Stannis Rax."

The Eagle Council has dithered for so long that it had been decided just to have Ewinus is interim Regent and decide whether to crown him or hold elections once the war is over.
A massive recruitment drive for the military and the Eagle Guards begins; as many as a third of the existing Eagle Guards are transferred to the Eagle Ground Combat Corps.
---------------------------------------------------------- (New post:)
A man suddenly appears in the middle of the Eagles' council room during their latest meeting, as if he teleported in (not really). A strange mask completely covers his face and head, while a suit of Phoenix armor covers the rest of his body, except for his arms and wings, which are white-feathered like an eagle.
Masked Man: "Hello there, Eagle council. How goes things?"
Eagle Councilor: "What— Who are you, and how'd you get in here?!"
The masked man is immediately surrounded by security guards pointing their spears at him.
Guard: "Don't move."
Masked Man: "Very well."
Eagle Councilor: "Answer my questions: who are you, and why do you hide your face? Wait... this brings to mind the terrorist eagle who almost killed that Bat General, Badrar, way back after the Gorillas' attack on Eagle Spire. Is that why you hide your identity? Are you that rogue eagle, come to assassinate the Council?"
Masked Man: "No, no, I'm not anyone like him. I heard about that event, and I suspected I'd be mistaken for him, but no, I'm just here to talk to the Council. And I'm not hiding my identity... I am Erdrik."
There are shocked gasps from the councilors and guards.
Councilor #4: "King Erdrik? As in, the son of Elrond, and the adoptive father of Eeran? But you passed away of old age when Eeran was fifteen!"
Erdrik: "That was what the people of the Eagle Tribe were told, yes. But in actuality, it was a plan I'd put into motion with my son's consent. The 'Erdrik' who was buried was not me, but a close friend of mine who actually did pass from age, and had agreed to my plan; a plan only he, my son, and my closest retainers knew about. You see, since we were in a long age of relative peace following the Gorilla—Eagle War, I decided to go on a personal journey, instating my son as King, to fill the role until I returned. I had... no idea of the wars that happened during my absence, as well as my son's disappearance, until I returned just recently. Unfortunately, the aforementioned close retainers were all felled in the wars that occurred while I was gone, so I don't have anyone to back me up, heh."
Councilor #1: "How do we know you're not an impostor?"
Councilor #3: "Well, what he says about the retainers is true. All the eagles who'd worked closely under King Erdrik passed during the Ravens' attack on the Spire, and the Gorillas' later attack."
Erdrik: "If you don't believe me, I'll have to take over this tribe by force, because it is my tribe after all. My son served as a good temporary King until my return."
Councilor #4: "If you are King Erdrik, why do you wear that mask? Show us your face to prove you're our King!"
Councilor #3: "Wait a minute... I remember where that mask is from. It's King Erdrik's old battle mask, passed down to him by King Elrond, who'd crafted the mask during the Gorilla—Eagle War."
Erdrik: "Looks like we have a fellow history buff! Yes, I took this battle mask of mine back from the Eagle Museum, because... war is coming."
Councilor #1: "War? I see that you wear the armor of the Phoenix, showing that you've earned our tribe the right to use fire chi, so I assume you're talking about fighting the Ice Hunters?"
Erdrik: "Yes, but not just the Ice Hunters. You see, that journey I mentioned earlier... it was a voyage across the West Sea. I had to confirm something."
Councilor #4: "Confirm something?"
Erdrik: "Over eight hundred years ago, a joint expedition of Lions and Eagles voyaged far out on the West Sea, into unexplored oceans. Since the tribes didn't have radios yet back then, contact with the group was lost when they stopped sending chi-telegrams from their ship, and those lions and eagles were never seen or heard from again. Ever since reading about this in the history books, I've been extremely curious as to what became of the expedition. Finally, when my adopted son seemed mature enough to lead the tribe, I faked my death and set out alone to find out what, or who, destroyed those Lion and Eagle explorers. Eventually, I found an island, filled with ancient Lion and Eagle weapons and ship parts... and patrolled by a hostile unknown species, who I barely escaped from with my life."
Erdrik looks around at the councilors, whatever expression on his face covered by the mask.
Erdrik: "As your King, I hereby reclaim leadership of my tribe, and declare that the Eagles are now in a state of war, against both the Ice Hunters and the hostile aquatic species."
There is stunned silence in the room, until finally Councilor #2 speaks.
Councilor #4: "You've made several bold claims, none of which you can back up. If you are Erdrik, I'm sorry, but how do we know you're not just a war-hungry rogue eagle posing as him?"
Councilor #2, the oldest and most respected member of the Eagle Council, finally speaks: "Actually, his claims are all true. Erdrik may have only told his closest retainers about his plans, but one of those retainers was actually my spy, back when I had intent to takeover the tribe. I was young and foolish then, and of course, I now have no such thoughts, but it looks like something good came out of my old ambitions. My spy had told me all about Erdrik's plan, and after maturing and realizing that he was the rightful King, I waited for him to return. I can ratify all of Erdrik's claims."
Erdrik: "Well... would you look at that."
There's another moment of silence in the room, until the councilors order the guards to withdraw, and everyone bows before Erdrik.
Councilor #4: "I'm terribly sorry that we doubted your identity, King Erdrik."
Erdrik: "Ha-ha! Nonsense, my friend! I would have doubted it at first as well, if I were in your position. You... er, may rise, all of you."
Councilor #1: "Still, Your Highness, war is a dangerous undertaking. The Eagles are to go up against both the Ice Hunters, and an entirely different faction we know next to nothing about?"
Erdrik: "Well you see, I plan to band the tribes together against this western threat. I've researched everything that happened in Chima while I was away, and it's clear that, with the exception of the Vultures, the Ice Hunters can't be reasoned with, so we might need to... put them in their place. All the other tribes, however, I plan to unify against the unknown enemy... to eradicate them."
Councilor #2 and Erdrik meet in a secluded part of Eagle Spire after the meeting.
Councilor #2: "I must say, I'm impressed. You really made them think you're Erdrik. As we speak, the other councilors are announcing the King's return to the people."
Masked Man: "I couldn't have pulled it off without you, my friend. Your story about 'having a spy within my retainers' came at the perfect moment."
Councilor #2: "I just said what you told me to say. I do what's best for the Eagle Tribe."
Masked Man: "Well, I thank you for agreeing to this after I sought you out. I must thank the late King Erdrik was well. It's a good thing he'd had a big battle mask."
His face and head shrouded in darkness, the man takes off the mask. He and Councilor #2 look at the mask, smiling in bemusement.

-The Forgotten Eagle Sect felt a bit weary about this, mostly just from Eris, a rather lost or obscure descendant of Eagle Royalty/Nobility, and Edessa, a rather well-known military leader. They felt something was going on with their mother tribe, and soon both Forgotten Eagles agree to one thing: Go up to the new council and leader and hope they won’t consider the Forgotten a threat.-

The guards let them in. "Erdrik" looks at them through the mask, his eyes invisible within the mask's small dark eyeholes.
"Erdrik": "Welcome, Mr... Edessa Cubbage, is it? And a young warrior I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting."
