Ok, first thing for the new FAC to decide: complicated magic. Basically, the more powerful magic that hasn't been used before first requires a little math by the RPC first. Essentially, due to it being New Magic, a mathematical equation is what you make new spells with. This isn't done by us, we just need to post "he does the math for Xxx". This is only for the rarer and more powerful spells, like the Black Hole spell Darthraxx uses.
The Dragon Knights say yes.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

So, would you do the maths instantly, or would you say like, "he begins to do the maths for X, Y%

That's something we need to decide. He and I have already talked about this a little, but the details do need to be fleshed out.

OK, so just voting on the concept, not the finished thing. I say yes
I'm afraid you don't have a vote. The FAC members are me and a representative from each HQ (excluding the Mercenary Village unless there is a tie). However, if the idea is approved, we would appreciate your input on how to implement it.

You have my opinion. Sorry, I'm used to the LotR RP where we all vote on it.

Okay. No problem. Once you join an HQ, you could always tell your Rep your opinion and maybe he would take it into consideration.

The Lion Knights say nay.
It restricts which RPCs can cast complicated magic. In the rough time period we're in, only people from noble families would be able to read, write and do much maths. Most of the population would just be able to count a few sheep. We don't want to force people who want to be able to be waizards and do powerful magic to make alterations to a backstory they have worked hard on so that their RPCs have to be able to do maths equations.

It would be a part of the wizard training I would have thought.

I agree with you there MM, however, maybe maths is not the best term to use. I'm not sure what would seem better yet

The training would vary enormously; each Kingdom would probably have a different training system, and some people would probably have learned from an old village magician. Not everyone will have been through very formal training.

You have a point, but it's not like the system would be used for all spells, just ones that are particularly innovative. I think it makes sense for it to be difficult to essentially create new spells.
Besides, mythmaster has a lot of ideas, many of them quite good ones, and I feel like I shoot them down or spoil them all too often. I want to give him something, and this fits in with the direction I'm planning on possibly pushing magic in the future (don't worry, I wouldn't be making it harder to do magic or anything, just adding something new).

Now that I look at it again, perhaps it's a good idea.
I have reconsidered, and it has my vote as long as it's only for the very hardest spells, like the black hole spell.
Now that I've read the new information in the Castle RP Lore/Worldbuilding Topic, I really want to create a Minotaur character as well. It's interesting, because in the planned sequel for Invasion (the story I wrote but never completely posted on the LMBs. Rule probably remembers it.), there would have been a Minotaur-like race known as the Uksari that were dismissed as warlike, unintelligent brutes similar to the trolls, who weren't complete brutes either. They in fact were very intelligent and had a very rich culture.
In fact, they had crucial roles in many important events in their continent's history. However, the fact that people thought they were brutes led them to adopt an isolationist policy. This meant that they didn't join the good guys until Anne managed to get her and the Anarian refugees captured by pirates during their ocean crossing which led to a big battle and caused the Alig Bor to overrun Vychod and obliterate the kingdoms of Ainran and Durok-dur, causing the refugees to form a rebellion that led to the enemy's eventual defeat at the Battle of Rutinor.
That was unnecessary and pointless rambling and advertising concerning my story. If you want to read it, what until the MBs close and then look on the main Castle forum.
Now, the question: can I create a second character? He'll most likely be a member of the Forest Band.
