Name: Amaranth Gaidin Race: Elf Weapons: 'Quarterspear,' conjured by magic, (explained later) twin daggers, about a foot long each and slightly curved Class: Wizard primarily, but also has basic herbalist training to heal small wounds and basic illnesses Description: Wears leather armor with designs in ornate golden thread embroidered into it. Also enchanted to prevent a sword blade piercing it, but only for a few blows, and a really heavy blow will cut it. Over top of that he wears a deep purple cloak made of armourweave (OK for use?) that acts like a armour when hit by a strong force, stiffening to resist it. A slow slice or jab still cuts through it like it is cloth. He wears two guantlets made from a dark brown metal that is very strong. The right guantlet has a smallish gem in the back of it and when a little magic is put into it it produces the quarterspear. He has brown hair, fairly short and quite messy, and blue eyes. He is slightly taller than the average man, but not hugely taller. Backstory: I'll post it later, because it requires me to look up names of places
I offer this to the FAC for their opinion on its legality (And anyone else who wants to chip in )
I like it. The armorweave seems a bit overpowered in my opinion, though.
What exactly is a quarterspear?
I wasn't sure, but I decided I could leave it. Technically it is just armour, but with a major weakness (Slow slice)
Um, let me get you a picture of something similar, because the actual design is still in my head, and I don't have the time to see it ATM. It doesn't have as long of a blade on the front and the gap is wider, but this is pretty much the same thing. The blade on the bottom has no gap and is one solid blade.
If you're curious, it's kind of modelled off an Ashendaeri (WoT weapon) but with a twist. Actually, a quite few twists

It all looks good. Especially that Wheel of Time reference. :tounge: Remind me to tell you about Andrasa of Genhald sometime.
Ah, a fellow WoT reader I presume And by knowing Androl Genhald, you have clearly read at least Towers of Midnight, and probably AMoL. Your favourite character I would guess, because its mine too
Have I talked to you about this before?

Looks Great! The FAC doesn't really need to approve any of this, except they MIGHT not like the Quarterspear with the quantlet stuff.
Thanks! Well, the whole Quarterspear with guantlet thing is just for show more or less, I suppose it means you can't steal his weapon easily, but who does that?

I don't know. It might have been jacksparrow222. The way I set it up, the only way they would vote is if one or more of the other representatives is missing and there is a tie.
Only two of us in Merc for now, I'll talk it over with them.

OK. it's more the fact it's magic, but whatever.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

You have. I don't know exactly how long ago, but at least several weeks.

Well, the magic part doesn't actually change it, so I could just as easily make it physical if you want. You could shatter the object that summons it if you wanted me not to have it

I was worried that people would dislike you starting with a magic item, but whatever. It's not that big of a deal and no-one else seems to be complaining.

Ah, I see what you mean. But as an elf I could be 99999 years old It's not as much of a magic item as a fancy sheathe Like, really fancy

That's definitely possible. I remember people getting mad that I had magic weapons when I joined the Kingdoms Roleplay years ago. But I don't think it will be a big problem here. I think we're all mature enough to handle it.
