*5,000 MWE make their way into the region, moving through Towards Rivendell and The Trollshaws.* I just realized that Rivendell only borders three regions, two of which are also bordered by the Misty Mountain Goblin HQ/Sub-HQ's.
*These are seen far off by the keen elven eyes.*
*Troops are moved into various positions.*
*As soon as the...orcs? are in range, they are bombarded by hundreds of rocks.*
Nulled. Hollin is HUGE and these Orcs are simply moving North at this point, I never specified where. Also, their is no such thing as Stealthy Siege Weapons. So, Nulled.
Oh, and these ARE orcs by the way.

Unnulled. "These orcs are simply moving north at this point." That's exactly why they'd be in range. They have no idea my troops are here, so they'd simply take the most efficient path. That would be, as you said, straight north (and a little east), close to the Misty Mts. My troops are on a hill at the base of the Misties (probably Hollin Ridge, since I said the elves were reclaiming their kingdom, and Hollin Ridge was the northernmost point of the kingdom of Eregion). So unless your troops were taking an unnecessarily long and circuitous route for (seemingly) no reason, they would pass within my line of sight and range. Again, keep in mind that I have the high ground, and have elves, both of which would serve to increase my sight range.
As for the siege engines, I never said they were being stealthy. Rather, they were set up when I got here, in a defensive position on top of the ridge. Your troops simply wouldn't see them because of the distance, and because most would be obscured by trees.

Umm. . . Even a slight amount East at this region is enough to make a huge difference. In addition to that fact, they were actually heading to the Trollshaws, which would put them further east. AND their is the fact that if this Hollin Ridge is the Northern-most point, and is by the Base of the Misty Mountains, then they wouldn't come within sight, even for Elf Eyes. Your essentially saying that Elves could see the High Pass and make out that their are goblins instead of a herd of deer from the top of the Carrock. That might be a bit more than what you're saying, but it's close to as ridiculous. Plus, you've said yourself that this area is at least partially wooded, which would add to my troops being able to get past your units without them noticing.

I just looked at the map again, and I actually discovered something: Their is a large stretch of land north of parts of the Trollshaws. so therefore, I am not going North, I am mainly going West (East? I get mixed up all the time on this Map) and NOT primarily East, like I thought.

First, as you noted, it's west, not east. I used to do the same thing, tbh.
It is true that the Trollshaws are west, as well as north, of Eregion. However, between them lies the river Bruinen. The only known ford on the border is found at the far northern end of the border. In fact, said ford is farther East than the end of the Hollin Ridge. So it's far more north than west. Besides, on CC's map, the Rivendell region extends south to include that ford, so you'd have to pass through Rivendell to get to the Trollshaws.
When I said that the Hollin Ridge was "the northernmost point of the kingdom of Eregion", I did not mean the northen end of the actual region, but the historical Elven kingdom of Eregion. The Hollin Ridge is actually in the east-central part of the Eregion region ( ). If you'll look on a map, it's the part of the Misties that juts out much farther than anything else. Far enough that your troops, taking the most likely, efficient route, would go right past it (or over its lower end). In which case they would easily be seen by my elves.

It sems I must take over this debate, as MM told me to move the troops.
So, I've looked at several maps, and it seems that yes, the orcs would go by Hollin Ridge. Before I go on, I would like to enquire what siege engines you have.

Ooh, fun, a new opponent.
OK, glad we won't waste time arguing about that
I'm not sure your troops would be able to see what I have but I suppose you could at least estimate. Might as well just tell you. I have 50 scorpions and 100 ballistae

Yay!
Good.
This is me asking, not orcs. I was just asking because if you had trebuchet, I'd see them from miles off.

Well, OK. That'd probably be true, but I don't. It's your move, I believe.
