Not often you get a number of notifications that matches your birth year I know people with tens of thousands of unread emails I find that absolutely horrifying

I'm never gonna live that one down am I It was definitely a horrendous several weeks I should play the game again, it wouldn't take too long to get to the point we'd reached... but at the same time do I want to I mean, I did eventually recover the data. Only if you are prepared to possibly relive the infamous wingsuit fiasco

Interesting. It almost feels like getting a good gas price is kind of like trading stocks or something. Gotta find and predict the right time. Ooh, that's gonna be a hefty price tag for gas. Hopefully you get an efficient uhaul truck. Wonderful. What did you get for LEGO Star Wars wee? I'm also guessing you're done or almost done with grading? I hope your students performed well. Hehe, that's something my classmates and I tend to forget when we're asking help from the TAs and graders. Well, I'll admit I've been working too hard on this project at work, but the end is in sight. I was at my parents' in a rural area the past couple of days and I think I consistently saw gas around $4.60... horrifying. Since my parents had to pick me up and bring me back (no public transit to where they live in the middle of nowhere) they just decided to bring as much of my LEGO collection as they could and I'd say I have around 2/3 or more of it down here now. I guess they'll come visit next month or so and bring the rest. Now I don't really need the uhaul... but I'll have to order from IKEA and hope they ship the storage solutions quickly and correctly since I won't have the van to go there myself. A friend was complaining to me last fall about how they ordered a piece of furniture that comes in 2 boxes (box 1 and 2) so IKEA sent her two box 2s For Star Wars week I was able to get all 3 promos (tiny AT-ST, Lars homestead, beskar keychain) by buying the Dagobah diorama, Boba's palace, Mando forge, and the new Batmobile. I completely to forget to order some Muppets minifigs though. It will probably take me a while to get around to building them (definitely starting with the Dagobah set) due to the arrival of the rest of my collection. After I got back from my parents' yesterday morning the instructor and I sat down for 5 hours and graded the final. One student did nearly perfectly, but there were a lot of 60%s too. I wasn't in charge of assigning the final grades, so hopefully the instructor was fairly generous. I usually take the time to give everyone good answers when they contact me, but I'd rather not have to take the time in the first place. My first year in the PhD program is technically done now. It feels pretty good to be done, though summer will be beginning soon. Hopefully you'll have a bit of a break from your project soon. That's a terrifying price tag for gas. That's a good plan of just bringing your LEGO to your apartment in batches instead of the entire collection at once. Easier to organize as well. I remember IKEA does have some shipping options, though that's pretty interesting your friend accidentally received two Box #2s of something. LEGO rarely makes that mistake when it comes to numbered bags. Wow, that's awesome. All of those are pretty good sets, and the promos are really nice too. Too bad I missed out on those. Hopefully when you order the Muppets minifigures you won't get any duplicates. You've got a lot of LEGO to build. Ah yes, the classic distribution of grades, just as I remember. There's always the one student who gets the highest score while everyone else including me just barely makes it. Hopefully your professor will apply a generous curve to the grades. True, hopefully the won't bother you about grades. Awesome, congratulations on finishing your first year of PhD! I've finally got a little bit of a break on my project, so now I can relax a lot more.

Yeah. It's quite the dilemma. If I wear shorts, it won't touch the mosquito bite, but then I'm exposed to more potential mosq0uito bites. If I wear long pants, I risk rubbing the bite, but I also reduce exposure. It was a pretty nice rain, especially with the air feeling a lot more fresher and cleaner. Interesting. I've never heard of pineapple flavored gummy bears before. Sorry it took me so long to respond, the tail end of the semester hit me like a speeding train. There's just no winning against the mosquitos. You need mosquito netting or something to wear over your shorts. That's good. Hopefully there will be more rain in the future. They usually kinda look like an extremely pale yellow. The guy who sat next to me in one of my classes this semester offered me gummy bears a couple times and I just picked them out of the bag No worries, I totally understand. It's always a busy time toward the end of the school year. Yeah, I've ended up just wearing jeans instead, even if it's a warm day. I hope so too. It's been too dry lately. Interesting. I'll have to look out for these pineapple gummy bears if I happen to run into any. They seem exquisite.

True, hopefully the won't bother you about grades. Awesome, congratulations on finishing your first year of PhD! I've finally got a little bit of a break on my project, so now I can relax a lot more. I imagine it's even more now, as I noticed it at $4.50 in the city. I was figuring I'd rip off the bandaid and get everything down here at once, but since my folks were able to get most of it down here relatively quickly, I figured this was the best option. I've been trying to pick up some furniture from students doing moveout sales online, but apparently you need to have notifications on and be on top of that to get anything... which I don't really care enough to do. Might just order my IKEA stuff now and be done with it. I recall I did have 2 sets over the years with screwed up bags. I'm not too huge into the minifigs anymore, I feel I have more than enough (seriously I'm going through my collection here and finding stuff I forgot I had), but Muppets are pretty cool, so hopefully not sold out. My advisor seemed willing to give me full funding for the fall semester, so hopefully I won't have to TA anything then. Thankfully all my grades came back good. I just need to take 2 more classes in addition to all the dissertation requirements, so now I can shift my focus to research, away from classes. I think my summer internship in R&D will help put me in the right mindset for doing serious research work in the fall. It's been a year since I was doing any sort of research-oriented task, so the first few weeks might be a little painful. Have you been doing anything fun outside work?

If there's really a problem the politicians should just duke it out in a parking lot or alley somewhere like normal people instead dragging entire civilian populations into their squabbles too Ah you're talking about the political wars. Yeah, It'd be nice if they where to settle things a bit more maturely. Especially when it comes to country's trying to get along, some thinking about others and actually sharing would fix a lot. Greed and power are motivating far to many countries in politics right now. But I'm not fully against all war. War as a last resort to protect one's faith, family, or even there land (in some cases) is never fun, but sometimes necessary.
I guess there is no escaping war entirely

Guess I forgot that Yep, I forget how it happened, but it is back to functional. Though I finally went in recently and created a backup in case something happens again. Wonder if the backup is somehow transferable so you wouldn't have to start from scratch on your copy

Glad you found a solution of some sort That's not good. Wildfire season is in full swing here. Hopefully you get some more rain soon so you don't have the same problem You should definitely try some if you have the chance. I need to see if I can find any made without corn syrup. It's been awhile since I had some that didn't involve the concern of an allergic reaction.
