Someone probably has. That's convenient, I'd guess it's cause of the flat-rate shipping.
I haven't seen it myself, but I think some of my friends have seen it when I was scrolling through social media. Most I've seen so far is $4.99 per gallon.
I assume it was this past week that was the final week of class, and now it's finals week. I hope your assignment goes well, and I also hope the grading also goes well. I'm gonna guess once grades are released you're gonna get a lot of emails from students asking about their grade. Awesome, sounds like you're almost done! Great job!
I saw $4.35 on Friday and was a little surprised because I didn't even realize it was back above $4 again. Going to be getting a uhaul later this month to collect the LEGO from my parents' basement and I am not enthused about putting gas in it before I take it back. I just know that'll be a chunk of change.
Yup, classes are finally done. I hopped on the computer to order some goodies for LEGO Star Wars week and catch up here, then I must start my instant pot dinner and get to grading. Hopefully I can get most of it done then relax this evening. Hopefully none email me. They should know that I have no clue what's going on. Thankfully the instructor doesn't make me do much more than grade things. I should be all done with this semester within the next 10 days or so. Hopefully you're not working too hard!
Interesting. It almost feels like getting a good gas price is kind of like trading stocks or something. Gotta find and predict the right time. Ooh, that's gonna be a hefty price tag for gas. Hopefully you get an efficient uhaul truck.
Wonderful. What did you get for LEGO Star Wars wee? I'm also guessing you're done or almost done with grading? I hope your students performed well. Hehe, that's something my classmates and I tend to forget when we're asking help from the TAs and graders. Well, I'll admit I've been working too hard on this project at work, but the end is in sight.
That sounds nice! Wow! Snow this time of year is not gonna happen in Texas. I love Texas but I really don't like how hot it gets. lol
Texas is cool, except for two things: the heat and the sad lack of mountains. Well, the far Northern part of the state (North of I-40) can get pretty cold. In fact, I-40 is terribly icy between Flagstaff, Arizona and Eastern Oklahoma. But yeah, Texas is mostly really hot.
You're not wrong about the heat. West Texas is prettymountainous from what I looked up. Our hill country can be stunning to. But yes, to warm lol.

I was at my parents' in a rural area the past couple of days and I think I consistently saw gas around $4.60... horrifying. Since my parents had to pick me up and bring me back (no public transit to where they live in the middle of nowhere) they just decided to bring as much of my LEGO collection as they could and I'd say I have around 2/3 or more of it down here now. I guess they'll come visit next month or so and bring the rest. Now I don't really need the uhaul... but I'll have to order from IKEA and hope they ship the storage solutions quickly and correctly since I won't have the van to go there myself. A friend was complaining to me last fall about how they ordered a piece of furniture that comes in 2 boxes (box 1 and 2) so IKEA sent her two box 2s
For Star Wars week I was able to get all 3 promos (tiny AT-ST, Lars homestead, beskar keychain) by buying the Dagobah diorama, Boba's palace, Mando forge, and the new Batmobile. I completely to forget to order some Muppets minifigs though. It will probably take me a while to get around to building them (definitely starting with the Dagobah set) due to the arrival of the rest of my collection.
After I got back from my parents' yesterday morning the instructor and I sat down for 5 hours and graded the final. One student did nearly perfectly, but there were a lot of 60%s too. I wasn't in charge of assigning the final grades, so hopefully the instructor was fairly generous. I usually take the time to give everyone good answers when they contact me, but I'd rather not have to take the time in the first place. My first year in the PhD program is technically done now. It feels pretty good to be done, though summer will be beginning soon. Hopefully you'll have a bit of a break from your project soon.
