While I think that most of the original mods cared about the community, I definitely think that having mods who are former and active community members is beneficial
I see what you mean, but realistically, the Mods on the original LMBs can't always give us what we want. It's kinda like what good parenting is, they know what is good for the community but it is not always in line with what we want because the Mods don't want to keep giving us things that may only benefit ourselves. I like to think that the mods thought about a lot of the things we would like, but there are lots of other things that are much more important. I think the mods did what they could do and I can't really ask them to do anything else but to continue what they enjoyed doing.
Yeah, but think of all the petitions for stuff like a cucumber emote and deleting posts. Although I personally think the idea of a cucumber emote is extraneously stupid, good parenting is not always saying 'no' and that's what the old MB mods did.
I'd agree. Good parenting isn't always saying no, but it is about making sure that healthy behaviors are developed, and that's a very difficult thing to do considering the Mods had to maintain the behavior of an entire LEGO community. I would hypothesize that most times they said no because if they let one user do something, they would have to let every user be able to do it, and depending on the request, it might hurt the community. We won't actually know since there are rare times they said yes, but I would guess that they didn't want to take big risks.

Because you just said that, I'm going to add a cucumber emote.

Alright, but I'll die a little inside.
I think people on here are mature enough to not torment me through being overly obsessed with it. :Brimstone:
