I've been checking back and back, but this topic still is not moderated. It's been like half a week I think, anyway I was going to post here as soon as it was moderated, but since it isn't yet I thought posting now might help that along.

I don't know exactly what's up with this place and stuff, (since the main post still has not been moderated) But we can still talk about creativity or something.
How do you come up with ideas? I come up with some of my best ideas from videogames and movies, allowing inspiration to change them over time like a fine wine after I've intricately interwoven them together.

I write stories every now and then. If you want to see a sample of my work, look up my short story Phantom Thief on the Star Wars Stories forum. I have a WIP fantasy story that I plan on posting soon.
My biggest weakness is fairly simple: I struggle with name creation, and worldbuilding to some extent. I mostly struggle with worldbuilding because I can't think of names for anything.

I usually find that anything can inspire you. Inspiration doesn't come when you look for it or expect it, and comes when you are least ready, so you must always carry a notebook to jot down the inspiration when it comes. Prepare for inspiration at any moment, from anything! I started a book, and it has been going well, all because I saw an interesting house, and I came up with a story. And right now I am drawing Palmyra, but my drawing will be a bit of a fantasy, for I am going to write a story, not about Palmyra, but something inspired by it.

I think it would be pretty weird to become a bestselling author of a story inspired by a keyboard since anything can inspire you.

Clearly, we are two very different people.
Fun fact: Several months ago, I made an executive decision and changed the name of the villain in my story. It took me a few days to come up with a new name, so during that time I referred to the character as "Rodney".
It's also very hard to remember that you changed his name after you've been calling him by his first name for several months.

I think I'll join. My creative interest is mainly LEGO building, computer programming, and some art.
So far my most creative thing I have done in computer programming is related to LEGO building. I have invented a fast algorithm for finding right triangles given a length of a hypotenuse. The program has some tolerance in it to allow minor differences in lengths, which makes it perfect for LEGO building because I can now place LEGO bricks or assemblies of LEGO bricks in diagonal positions while having at least 2 points connected to a baseplate with barely any stress on the bricks.
