I have a few question about some of the rules the LMBEs. On the original LMBs, we were not allowed to use words that described the forceful demise of a character or individual, but instead had to make use of the word "smash", which was especially clumsy to use in the context of a story. Additionally, we were forbidden to share links to other sites, even if said links were appropriate. Is this still the case for the LMBEs? I understand either way, I just wanna make sure I follow the rules.
Hey, just wondering what the deal will be with moderating? If you ever need an extra Mod I'm more than happy to join in, I've done moderating before on G+ communities and pages so I have some experience.
Also, will you guys be doing a Talk To The Mods thread, or will this be it instead?
Moderation: please stay tuned. We've been working that out, and we'are about ready to announce our master plan
TTTM: We may eventually create a separate thread for that; it's hard to be sure at this point. For now, this thread can serve the purpose.

We will follow the rules of the LMBs for the demise of any characters. Think about any LEGO games: when you run out of hearts, your character is just smashed comically. No graphic violence; just shattering plastic. That's the most child-friendly way we know of to allow demise of a character. Of course, that character then has the option to reset
We will have a whitelist of sites eventually. For now, links to pages on LMBE and lego.com are permitted.

Really:(? That's sad. I saw that the site was down. I just thought it might still be around as I saw videos about it made in the past month or so. I know, I got a Twitter JUST to follow so I have a chance to get into alpha:P:D!
Yeah, Project B.U.I.L.D. (Not B.R.I.C.K. ) was discontinued back around or before the start of 2015... I can't quite remember why, though.
Funny enough, Nexus Adventures is still going, despite my pre-2015 assumptions that LNA would die and B.U.I.L.D. would be the one to continue.
Ah, shows how long it has been since I followed it:P. That's sad:(. Sounds cool, any idea on the status of LNA? I don't know any of the staff for LNA though so I doubt they would let me help, where as with B.U.I.L.D. I knew almost everybody:(.

We will uphold very similar standards to the LMBs here. That means no references to video games rated M or above (T games are probably generally okay to reference). We will not allow sharing of personal info. Links to other sites will be restricted, but not entirely as of yet. This will be evaluated on as needed. No swearing will be tolerated; swearing will result in disciplinary action.
For more information, please see the "Eternal Rules and Guidelines".
How do you reply without quoting?

I have a question. It seems that no posts are marking as read whether I read them or mark as read. Does this mean we have to remember what page we are on? Or is this a glitch?
When you click on a thread title, this site defaults to sending you to the beginning of the thread. To start at the first new post, click just to the left of that on "New". Hope that helps!
Oh, that makes sense! Thanks so much:D!

We can link "safe" sites. I don't know if we can have death though.

Wait, what? Keplers said we could link to most LEGO sites like all the BIO ones he listed, MOCPages, Brickset, etc. Is this not the case?

Hello, everyone! On behalf of the team running this site, let me welcome you to LMBEternal! Below are some answers to questions you may have. Please feel free to use this thread to ask any more questions you may have!
What is LMBEternal? LMBEternal is a message board intended to archive and replace the old LEGO® Message Boards. This means these boards will be fully moderated and child-friendly, as well as following a very similar format to the LEGO® Message Boards. Please note that while we have set these boards up very similarly to the official LMBs, this is not an official LEGO® site.
Who is running this? LMBEternal is run by a team of dedicated users from the old LMBs who want to see the community continue. We recognize the importance of the LMBs to many people as one of the only child-friendly communities on the internet, and certainly it is a special community. As such, we intend to uphold very high standards of moderation.
How is moderation handled? These boards are moderated by the LMBEternal team. We are a small group of dedicated users who we know will keep these boards safe and clean. We will only add staff when it's necessary, and we will only add users we know we can trust to uphold the high standards of moderation we expect of our team. If any user believes a moderator is not performing their job properly, the user should file a report with an administrator via a private message (PM). Please note that PMs are disabled between users and can only be sent to staff members.
Why do I see that someone has posted a comment somewhere, but the comment doesn't exist? This is related to how moderation works here. Posts are sent to a quarantine before they are approved, but users can still sometimes see that a post has been made. This issue cannot be fixed currently.
