If I interpret this a certain way, it means you disliked most of the best MCU movies (Doctor Strange, Ragnarok, GotG). If I interpret this in the more obvious way, it means you really disliked Black Panther. I'm not sure which of those options is weirder, to be honest.

1.Being my favorite 18 being my least favorite.
that's what i assumed. i know a lot of the character relationships in black panther were underdeveloped, but overall it was one of my favorite mcu movies

I went in hoping BP would be like his appearance in CIVIL WAR but the films tone and the character seemed totally different. I found the urge to make social political refrences in the film based on race ridiculous and uneccesary. Also the CGI especially that rhino and end fight scene was terrbile along with the costumes that looked more Alice in wonderland or Wrinkle in time than Marvel as well there was the over the top acting.
The sterotyping of African tribal dances in Panthers initiation scene as King also seemed pretty offensive as well. They also got rid of Pathners cool looking civil war suit and downgraded for something that looks like it would be used before visual effects were added. However I did like the villains Klaue and Killmonger. Though its a shame they wont return. I was really rooting for Killmonger to survive or switch sides and Klaue to escape.

The character in Civil War was out for vengeance against Zemo. In Black Panther, he was simply trying to be a good king. The politics of the film were... perhaps unnecessary, but not ridiculous. I actually think it improved Killmonger's character. I usually don't pay close attention to CGI, so I'll give you that. I guess the costumes were a bit over-the-top as well.
Eh. I think the whole thing was meant to say that, even with advanced technology, no country can truly progress when cut off from the outside world. Whether or not you believe this is your choice, but I wouldn't call it offensive. I agree with you that it had some amazing villains.
I understand all your criticisms. The movie was far from perfect, but I still don't think it deserves 17th. Either way, I'm excited to see more of Wakanda in Infinity War.

Gentlemen, the title says “SPOILER-FREE”. I haven’t seen Black Panther, so do keep spoilers to a minimum.

I appreciate your reminder to them, although all I got out of it was that
{kind of spoilers I guess (even though I havent seen it)} one of the villains is smashed, which I would have expected anyway. Plus, can't even remember which one only a couple minutes after reading it. (Don't tell me, please.)
