I doubt that MLB will be able to take Dol Amroth. He has naval superiority, but almost no infantry. He won't be able to seize the citadel.
Lebennin will fall, but I'm trying to hold out long enough for my defenses at Minas Tirith to finish. My blockade at Pelargir did nothing, as MLB apparently can cross the river anywhere he wants on rafts.
None of my other regions are under attack. Osgiliath is a standoff, and Cair Andros is becoming a strong fortress.
I'm preparing Andrast so it can serve as a new capital for Dol Amroth in case the city of Dol Amroth falls. It's heavily fortified against attacks from the north, and I can build more defenses to the east to keep MLB out.
Finally, MLB's Troll-men are now impervious to arrow fire. He protected the Troll-men's front line in Lebennin, but when all 900-some of my archers fired at him, he said that the Troll-men took no casualties.
Also finally, would a phalanx do much against Troll-men? I could perform small charges every now and thing to impale many of them if it works correctly.
{JAMMERS! GOOD ONLY!}Appparently MLB is taking most of his ships to meet mine in combat in the open sea. But if you can hold out at DA, that's good.
I'm sending about 5k MWE to Gondor via the sea. They'll be landing at Andrast in a few days. Let me know before then where they should go from there.
Are these troll-men the ones that I said should be higher in MWE? If so, then that only reinforces my point. Anyways, it sounds like he'll probably try to use them in the way that Dre/MM use(d) their trolls, albeit in larger numbers but less powerful. A phalanx probably wouldn't do much good. Siege engines are definitely the best way to defeat them, if you have any. Or mammoths, if you have those.
{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!}Good. The less artillery he has the better.
Take them to Lebennin. Help me and Rex defeat MLB. If we win, we can consolidate our defenses there or press south and crush what little forces he has left. I have 300 SWE in Pelargir, but not enough MWE to defend them against his attacks. I don't have mammoths, so you'd better be bringing some.

{JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} This is a terrible idea, so you really shouldn't listen to me. But if I were you, I'd go for Dunland. Leave them where they are for now, and see what Evil decides to do.
{JAMMERS! GOOD ONLY!} Wait, what's a terrible idea? Going to Dunland? Then why should listen to you?
But no, I agree, it's time to put pressure on evil. MM just pulled all his troops out of Rivendell, apparently he decided that wouldn't work. They're in Eregion now, along with Shamrock's 5k; not sure where they'll be going from there.
Well, if I'm going to attack Dunland, I'm probably going to need those troops there. I only "attacked" Enedhwaith with 4,500 troops, which (by my calculations) is hardly more than what's currently at Dunland. So I'll need at least some of those troops to have any chance of success, especially if MM sends his troops south.
{JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} Sorry, I meant to say that you shouldn't listen to me.
Interesting. I guess you taking the Enedwaith made MM realize that he over-extended himself (since I'm guessing he's the engineer behind Evil's Eriador operations). My guess is that first he'll heavily reinforce all of his border regions, and then he'll try to reestablish his border (i.e. retake the Enedwaith). I'd suggest heavily reinforcing the Enedwaith (take your troops from the South Downs), and then waiting for the opportune moment. If there's another weak region nearby, you could half-heartedly attack just to feel them out, but be prepared to pull out at a moment's notice, and don't leave any regions exposed. If we get lucky, when MM goes to invade the Enedwaith he might leave Eregion fairly weak, and then our combined forces in the Trollshaws and Rivendell can move in and invade. Alternatively, an invasion on Dunland would force MM to move more quickly, which could cause him to invade the Enedwaith right away. Actually, let's go for that. Get your reinforcements to the Enedwaith, and then attack Dunland with just enough troops to make MM/Shamrock worry (which might not actually take much). That should push him into emergency-mode, and he'll pull most of his forces in Eregion to respond (allowing us to invade). From there, there are two options. First, he might invade the Enedwaith in an attempt to draw you out of Dunland. If this happens, it's up to you to choose whether to push on at Dunland, or to pull out and surround MM's troops at the Enedwaith. If he tries to directly reinforce Dunland, then you can either waylay his troops as they pass through the Enedwaith, or else you can bring most of your defenders from there and follow him in.

Hmm, OK. I haven't actually decided yet, but that probably wouldn't work. It'd be really hard to put a mammoth on a ship. There was something of a uproar when DJ tried to do the same thing with oliphaunts.

{JAMMERS! GOOD ONLY!} Oh, that makes much more sense. Too late now tho.
Indeed, it does seem he's realized that.
Well, I kinda jumped the gun, but basically by doing what you suggested. 3,500 troops are now in Dunland, and will begin attacking tomorrow. But when they left, Shamrock's troops (who apparently never left Enedhwaith) came out to attack the 500 troops I left to complete the fort. But my troops from Cardolan will be there tomorrow, so that's not a problem.
At this point, MM and Shamrock will almost certainly move their Moria troops south. In which case, our forces to the north simply follow them, whether to invade Eregion, or reinforce Enedhwaith/Dunland. Also, I have a small contingent of troops (500 MWE) at the Glanduin ford. They couldn't stop anything large, but could slow them for a while. Alternately, I could hide them, and ambush Moria troops as they pass by. Thoughts?

{JAMMERS! -good- ONLY!}ooohhh, we're invading dunland? I have 18,000 MWE at the gap of rohan vs. 1,000 evil MWE. shouldn't take long to wipe those out, and then I'll bring some troops there. PS. Can I have the MWE from taking dunland? I need it to conquer isengard.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.
