I'm sort of the guy that listens to real music by people like Thomas Bergerson, Anthony Lledo, James Horner, John Williams, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelson, Michael Giachinio, Hans Zimmer, Stouse, Scott Joplin, and Ludvico Einaudi. Recognize any of those?

(Check out the fourth movement of this 5th symphony and see if you reconise it.) HZ, And Strouss. You forgot lizst, rachmonoff, Dvorak, Bach, and many other.
Fun fact: At least one score from Star Wars was ripped-off from a show that John Williams once starred in during his youth... or was it that he did the musical score for that? Whatever.
I know they are all rip offs of Gustav Holsts The Planets.
Maybe not best soundtrack overall, but Welcome to Jurassic Park is absolutely the most gorgeous piece I've ever heard.
I love 2 songs from it. The main theme is obviously the best, I think that's the one called Welcome to Jurassic Park. Then there's the music that plays when they're in the helicopter at the beginning. I LOVE that song too:D!
Ah, yes, that one is quite nice, although it is very quiet for a lot of the piece, because there are people talking in that scene. I also like the music that plays during the last raptor scene in the visitor center. Very fast-paced and intense.

Well, if it's the latter, he's just ripping off himself, and I don't think that really counts as a ripoff.
Because of nostalgic adults who are excited to see a live-action big-budget Power Rangers movie, even if it breaks the spirit of the original and is completely dark and stupid.

They (and me) probably just saw the trailers and decided it looked like it was going to be lame and generic.

it breaks the original spirit of Power Rangers and twists it into a generic edgey action movie. It treats itself too seriously and lacks any of the silly, anime-esque elements that make it a true Power Rangers production.
Why wouldn't it be? It's a popular franchise and a good movie. Of course it will be popular. That's like asking why the LotR movies were popular, or any other big franchise:S.

It's not just adults, it's teens too. I would say most of the people who saw it though were my age, so teens-20s.
