I think that was the first PG-13 one. I don't know my favorite book or movie, been SO long since I read/watched HP:(.
Hmm. I don't think the Australian Classification Board went below PG on any of them. I think the first three are PG and the rest are M. These classifications are recommendations only though. I feel like PG makes more sense. I used to cover my eyes for Aragog in CoS. That was some intense stuff for a 5-6 year old.
Here in the US, the first 3 are PG, and the rest are PG-13, except HBP, which for some reason is PG... Don't know why, it's possibly the darkest in the series.
That one was an accident!! Oh I'm sorry... I know how it is to lost grandparents... I have no clue what that means but okay! Yeah I never get to see her any more though. Well you do now! Me!!!
Aww fine! But it'll be next year when you can say anything about it!
Upset I caught you out on your self liking? Yeah. I never get to see mine. They all live over 1,000km away. It means until the day break, and the shadows flee away. It's the Scottish Gaelic equivalent to the English rest in peace. My Granddad was a Scotsman. I know you in the virtual world, not the physical world.
Why are you only allowed to read one a year? I think I already know the answer, but my parents we very lenient with my brothers and I. So much that I find it rather hard to understand. We were always encouraged to read almost anything. The next book is a big one too, so I guess next year with have a little more Harry Potter than previous years. I think book four broke the record for most pages in a fiction novel, she then went one to demolish that record with book five.
I don't know, the LotR books have lots of pages...

Nope! I never bet to see mine either they are 12 hours away from where I live and they for some reason no longer like to come and visit.
Yeah big difference I know at least over 20 people who dance
My Mom will only let me read one book a year so I read them at the same pace she did and so I'm the same age as him . have you read the hobbit? I'm thinking of reading it...
You should totally read The Hobbit. I'm going to read it with my siblings this summer. It's a great book that's perfect for all ages. It's not too mature, and it's written for children, but the story's fun enough to keep anyone engaged and it's Tolkien, so no one will judge you for reading it just because it's "for kids." And by "for kids," I don't mean as in Cat in the Hat, I mean as in the first HP book.
Mine are a little over 12 hours away. I can understand why people don't want to go that far.
Oh. That wasn't the answer I was expecting. That's a kinda cool reason. I guess you can relate to Harry a lot more. In saying that, Harry and I did experience a similar situation during my reading. It was nice to have that relation. I'm guessing your mum is quite young then... mid thirties. You should try and watch the second and third films. I think you'll like the portrayal of Lupin and Sirius.
No, I have not read the Hobbit, though it has probably been recommended to me three times on these boards. Maybe one day...
No it wasn't that they got mad with my Mom and my Grandpa said he was never coming back.
Yeah.. My mom in her 30s? Oh shed like that. She's around ten years older than that I'm sure I'll love the movies a LOT more than I liked the Percy Jackson ones.
Okay, well my Mom said I also must read the hobbit before I read lord of the rings. Have you read lord of the rings?
You should read Hobbit before LotR, definitely. It's a perfect introduction to the world of Middle-Earth, and in LotR the story gets much more complicated, so it's nice to know a little about everything before you read it.

That would make sense in why my mom wants me to read the hobbit first Thanks! It makes a ton more sense now

Well then I will I just asked my mom for it from the library! I will definitely read it! I started reading it before but I kinda lost intrest but that happens allot to me I'll read a book part way find it boring read it again later and find it I teresting . I never found Hans brinker interesting though

YouKnowWho has read the first three books. So we are safe talking about CoS. The movie doesn't include any additional information.
Distance is a killer. Most of my family is either British or an another state. It's pretty much just my parents and my brothers.
Never mind. I just misread as usual. I thought you implied that your Mum read the books at the same age, but you said pace.
I have not. That's another which is often recommended on these boards. I'm not much of a reader. I read two of the Narnia books and a couple of Star Wars books. Oh and all those boring books for high school. We mainly read books by local authors.
I went to new York a few weeks ago to see them... And my grandma gave my mom the silent treatment for no reason.
Comments misunderstanding?
Okay then... I've only read the first to narnia books I read ALOT here, the galls,books,signs,labels....
Yeah. That sometimes happens with families. My family has been at war with each since before I was born. My dad tried to work it out but in the end we moved states to get away from it all. My grandparents took the opposing (my uncle's) side, so we weren't allowed to visit them anymore. It's different now though. My cousins (uncle's children) live just minutes away from my grandma but they have not been to see her since 2012 (when my granddad passed away). We live over a 1,000km away and see her at least once a year. We are flying her up for my nephew's first birthday in a couple of months time. I guess after well over 20 years she realises how cruel it was of her to choose between her two sons and grandchildren. This stuff sometimes happens. I didn't understand it at the time but I do hope things get better for you and your mum because family is important. That is you identity.
Which Harry Potter book are you most interested in reading? And what are your thoughts. Favourite house? Character?

When I read it, I kinda lost interest a little bit into the first chapter, but it didn't last long. It didn't even last the rest of the chapter. After that, I enjoyed it to the end.

I just thought if you were going to speculate about why HBP had a lower rating, you should remember not to spoil anything.

Oh. Um... It does seem weird for it to have a lower rating. Some stuff happens, some stuff that seems pretty... well you know. But then there is the innocent part, the quidditch, the clubs and the romance.

Oh wow, I've never actually met someone whose favourite character is Harry. Most people pick someone else. But are you a Gryffindor?
