Yeah, haven't had to use it at all, though I guess it's not really fair that your keyboard has a useless $ sign while I don't have a useless British Pound symbol.
Lol, it's not a big problem. Perhaps my keyboard is an American keyboard.
That makes sense. I would guess a lot of keyboard manufacturers would be in America.
This whole place has been a major nostalgia trip for me. Can't believe it's still up and active.
I'm not really here, per se. I just rise from the depths of inactivity every once in a while to remind people of my existence then slink back into the shadows again.
Have you tried the original LMB theme? That one really causes a good amount of cognitive dissonance.

Yeah. One of the reasons I like dystopian fiction (or some of it, at least ), aside from a mere enjoyment of reading, is for the social criticism aspect. However, as well-intentioned as some authors might be, I think sometimes it's counterintuitive because in order to shock a desensitized person, you'd have to show them something much worse then they're used to seeing, and then theoretically it'll just keep going on and on until they're desensitized to everything. So, yeah, the main thing here would probably be to encourage people to educate themselves and remain vigilant. (Yeah, I suppose that might be a reason. I remember being indifferent to it when I was reading the series. I don't know, it's been a very long time since then. I haven't even finished Mockingjay in its entirety, because the first part of the book was moving too slowly and I lost interest. Perhaps I should give it another try. )
For sure. I write for an online student newspaper, so maybe I can bring it up with my editor.
Anyhow, it's been forever since I last logged on and that warrants some inquiry as to how you're doing. How've you been?
That's an interesting choice of literature. I remember reading one for my high school class. It is quite interesting how the worst case scenario could be enough to scare a person into thinking that their future will become like that if nothing changes. Agreed. More education and experience in all kinds of areas would help to let people get used to reality and how they can improve it. (Yeah. Ah, I see. I haven't even read the series yet since I'm not that good of a reader, so I've only seen the movies which was alright. Maybe reading the books would be helpful for both of us. )
Ooh, very nice. That'll be an interesting article to talk about. I hope it goes well.
I've been doing alright. I was watching a lot of anime recently, but now I've just returned to school so now it's busy again. How have you been?
(Yes, it really would. I've been working on a story for the past couple of months and I named my protagonist the same name of a character who's quite loved from the Hunger Games without realizing because I hadn't read it in such a long time, and though I don't plan on officially publishing this story or anything, it's a bit unfortunate that if anyone were to ever read it, the name would most likely be heavily associated with the Hunger Games character. )
Thank you!
That's nice. I don't really watch much anime but I'd be willing to hear some recommendations if you have them. Forgive me if I already should know this--my memory fails me at times--but you're in college, right?
I've returned to school as well, and I'm personally doing pretty well (thank you for asking) though I feel like I'm on the verge of losing my mind at times. I've been busy with a lot of side projects along with that, and I turned 16 several days ago, which was....fun?
