Yup. Life's definitely provided challenges for us, but we managed. That's good for you, I hope you get to continue in good homes. Good. I hope so too, and I'll be thankful as well that I can live in a nice place. That's good. ( btw, I love your stuffed poki!!!! :3)

Yes, rain isn't too bad, as long as you're wearing a good jacket. Yep, and a good umbrella, although where I go it makes you look like a tourist. Yeah, umbrellas are good too.

I've not been doing much new stuff, apart from exploring GIMP a bit more. Sounds good. I still need to get GIMP to try it out. What have you been exploring on GIMP? I've just been looking into more of it's functions, like it's blur filters and selection tools. (I sound like I'm advertising for GIMP. )

Oh dear, this has got to stop. Yeah, and because of these fires, today was a very hot day. Hopefully November will bring some rain, I heard that California is very dry in September.

Theory: The mods wanted to gradually show off the new ranks and elected Pacman as their person to show them off, ranking him up whenever desired My theory was that he accidentally satisfied the requirements too fast (see 2012) so they just had him rank up periodically to keep things at the desired rate No idea why they basically stopped having people rank up after rank 20 though Maybe it was because Diglett hated Hippie I thought way back when you concluded that no one was ever meant to get past rank 19 and the rest were all placeholders

I can add a bit more insight. This year my subjects were Maths (at a level where we're understanding the basics for university), Physics/Chem Introductory Course, English, Art, and PE, to keep my options open. Essentially I can do anything outside of music, and right now I am heading in no specific path. I was just wondering if I could hear some of the more older, wiser people's thoughts about specific areas of study.
Here it is important to do Physics and Chemistry if pursuing a STEM course is the idea. The only maths that I can do higher than the one I'm doing now is basically a first year engineering based maths course, so I don't need it.
Ah, that makes sense. Unless you're interested in a biology or chemistry related field, I'd do physics then. It is more applicable to a range of things. That is what I shall do. You couldn't pay me enough to do biology.

I see. I would also guess that a lot of people weren't active enough to think about minutes since everyone also has to go to school and work as well. I only caught up on the LMBs once or twice a day. Wow, that's quite a list. Hmm, I'm not sure how this could be explained. It seems that starting at rank 15, any 19th day of the 3rd, 6th, or 9th month was a rank up. I'm a little surprised that the 12th month wasn't a rank up month, and rank 14 and 17 seem to break the consistency. Wow, 24,000 posts. That's a lot more than I think I've made in my whole LMB and LMBE career. Yes, I think the homeschooled kids generally had the advantage. Yes - it's not consistent enough to be pleasing, but consistent enough to be suspicious Hopefully I don't make another 24000 Right, since they could be on the computer most of the day. That's a good way to describe it. Something is up with it for sure. That would be a lot of work.

So true. Awesome. You can relax a little now. That's good. I think one of my cousins still uses the 2007 version. Maybe? I have no idea. I guess what's really important about a thesis is to present something that hasn't been thought of before, kind of like a discovery, and backing that with a lot of evidence or proof. Real conferences are definitely better and somehow less intense than a thesis, probably because it doesn't feel like your grade depends on it. I haven't presented at a conference before, and my colleagues in my research team had a plan to go to one for something we were researching, but apparently our project ran out of school funding. That's alright. I have a lot of Agents sets, but they're mostly in pieces now since I like to do custom builds. That makes sense, and finding them on Bricklink wouldn't be quite worth it. I built my version of the turbocar with more features than the original LEGO version. Or worry about other things. I'm applying for the NSF GRFP so that's another annoyance to deal with. At least I'll be able to adapt a lot of this material to my grad school applications. I don't enjoy writing. I was able to go to Montreal for a conference because my advisor has an NSF grant that covers undergrad support. I was kind of sad that I didn't get the chance with corona this year. Hopefully sometime soon again. If I have most of the pieces and I like the set, I'll try to get what I need from Bricklink to finish it. I have some odds and ends of this one Blacktron I set and it resales for like $40 but I can get the pieces I need to finish it for like $25, so I'll probably do that. For some other older sets the pieces I don't have far outweigh what I have, so I'll probably just buy the entire thing at some point. It's my goal to collect most of the old space sets and display them. Oh, I see. Got some essays to write? That's pretty cool. You must've been the youngest one there. Hopefully the spread of COVID-19 starts decreasing soon. Yep. That would be nice. Good plan, hopefully you will be able to acquire those pieces pretty easily. A display of all of the classic space sets would be pretty epic. Got any classic space themes you're looking to display first?
