There is too much LEGO to bring to university, unless I don't bring anything else
I guess you're 2 years older than I. Makes sense What even is your nationality/continent/whatever, by the way you post at cryptic hours
I'm also conflicted if I want to have my sorted bags of LEGO out in the open or if I want to hide them in drawers Anyway this will presumably be a project for after I move out of my parents' house. I think as a kid I would use my own money on bionicles and for birthday and Christmas I would get like $80 themed sets like Star Wars and Indiana Jones and whatnot

Right. I didn't bring any LEGO to college either since I don't have that much space, especially to share with a roommate.
Yep. Sounds about right. I'm currently 22. I live in the Pacific Standard Timezone, and it's currently 1AM as of the time I write this post. What about you?
Hmm, if you have them out in the open, they'll get dusty pretty quickly. Sounds like a good plan. Ah, very cool. I guess the majority of your LEGO collection is Bionicle, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and other licensed themes?
Our dorms are spacious, I just wouldn't have the time to do anything with LEGO []
Ah, you post late. Understandable [] I'm an east coast lad (so is AP for that matter).
Yes, I have a lot of dusty stuff... ironically my dustiest stuff is some of the sets I've bought secondhand (old M-tron, classic city, blacktron). The majority of stuff I got new as a kid was Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Bionicle, and Creator I think. I have some Ninjago, Technic, and Indiana Jones mixed in. However, with all the secondhand stuff I've purchased I have a LOT of M-tron, Ice Planet 2002, Blacktron, and city as well. A little bit of classic space too. But quite possibly the majority of my bricks are in disassembled stuff - what I was putting in bags []
I literally have a list of things I need/want to do and it's basically a whole sheet of paper
I'd say it was a good mix of early 2000s stuff, a few of those weird lavender and aquamarine pieces from then - honestly no clue what theme they even were - maybe something with robotics. My favorite is alternate colors to common pieces.
It's not really a class - so unfortunately not an option. I'll see what I can figure out, I've also got some stuff with coronavirus modeling potentially on the table. I keep busy
I'll study a bit for the general GRE then take it in like June I guess while the online option exists due to the pandemic. I did well on the ACT in high school and I'm assuming I haven't become THAT much dumber since then so hopefully the skills transfer. I just need to make sure I understand the rubric for the writing portions, as I recall not doing so hot on the writing part of the ACT - though I got a high score on the English. Baffling I'm hoping schools waive the GRE math subject test requirement, as most applicants in my year probably haven't taken it yet, as we lost the opportunity to do so in April, meaning there would only be one opportunity in the fall - unless ETS comes up with some contingency plan. Can't say I want to sit in a room with a bunch of other people for 3 hours to take a test during a pandemic though... hopefully they can do it online - they literally have a webcam proctor so it's not like you can really cheat any more easily than in person.

Wow. That is quite a list. I've haven't compiled mine into a list at all.
Ooh, very interesting. I'm not sure what set those pieces could be from, but they sound pretty nice. They do remind me of the RCX system for some reason. It's nice to have alternate colors of common pieces, especially the ones that you don't find often.
Oh, I see. I guess another time then unless you can fit it into your schedule somehow. That sounds great. I'm sure you'd be helpful in seeing where the virus may go next or how it will grow or shrink.
Sounds like a good idea. Hopefully your experience on the ACT will be helpful. I think one of the toughest things for me was the GRE vocabulary words. My mom got me a 500 card deck of GRE flashcards to learn a lot of words that they might use. Interesting how there's quite a difference between your English class and the ACT test. Perhaps they're just tough graders on the ACT. My mom also borrowed plenty of GRE books from the library with tons of practice tests, and I remember doing a practice test a day or something like that.
That would be really helpful. I'm kind of familiar with the webcam proctor system and hopefully they find a way to either let you take the test safely or just waive it completely. I'm sure you're not the only one wondering.
I'm a relatively organized person []
The alternating colors can be useful in maxing technic stuff look more aesthetic with everything the same color.
Right now I'm just working on understanding this terrible red blood cell modelling stuff, hopefully I'll be getting into more interesting things coming up, I kind of want to teach myself some numerical integration to see if I can show this one model exhibits chaos for different parameter functions. Then I need to also look at data and such if I can get a hold of some []
I'm pretty good at vocabulary, so I'm not particularly worried about that. I'll probably just do a few practice tests then call it good []
It comes with a life of hiding indoors and being conveniently homeschooled.
That is relatable, I was homeschooled basically all my pre-adult life. The MBs provided me with a social outlet so I'm not entirely incompetent in interacting with humans (though I am a math major so I have an excuse)

Dude saaammmeee. I have severe social anxiety, but I think interacting with people here for years really helped build up my confidence. Funny how that works.
Then I'd try to use what I've learned in jiu jitsu and lock her in a choke hold or something. xD
Well then I'd just hope that you're with me then . xD
XDD You sound like one of my cousins. Sometimes when we go out into town she'll laugh that she always feels safe with me because I often have a knife on me.
Gotcha. I think out of all of those, Lord of the Rings and The LEGO Movie pretty much just shocked me by how well-done and brilliant they were. OvO It's encouraging to see a few good movies coming out today, although the number seems to be dwindling. What got you interested in observing films like this, would you say?
They really are. Indeed, they're dwindling. I miss going to the movie theater already tbh.
I'm not exactly sure, honestly. Maybe a few posts on the internet explaining a few certain scenes got me interested in observing deeper in these films.
Or maybe it was Age of Ultron that made me realize those things. In this case, there's nothing significant about Age of Ultron.
Going to the movie theater is such a magical experience, especially as a kid. It's like watching a new movie... but better. I bet it has something to do with watching it in this dark massive room full of other excited people and eating popcorn together.
Heh, I haven't seen Age of Ultron yet, though I'm finally watching the whole Avengers series for the first time ever.
