Hm, that's interesting. It's kind of fascinating how so many different forms of storytelling can be told through film. Do you ever find yourself critiquing some movies while you're watching them, like "that wasn't a very good transition" or "I feel like those last three clips could have been more fluid"?
It really is.
Yes and yes, notably when I rewatched High School Musical recently after around 10-12 years, although that one's more like a TV movie. There was even this one bit I noticed in Far From Home where the voicing didn't match the overall tone of scene. However, my critiquing is more on how well-made it is and/or how much I enjoyed it. If I focused on the former, I would hate High School Musical by now and if I focused on the latter, I'd say Bayformers is better than say The Winter Soldier.
That makes sense... I guess I pay more attention to the actual format of the clips and transitions and things like that because I want to learn how to use those techniques properly. What are some of your favorite films to watch that you enjoy critically?
Hmm, drawing, reading, school... the usual I guess. Watching Ninjago. xD You?
Cool. I had my wisdom teeth removed. Told my parents I want to go to a college only yesterday. And I've been trying to go through my room and get stuff done such as catching up on here and writing, although I've kinda got writer's block at the moment. And ya know, trying to get life figured out. Also chatting with Tigress and playing Roblox.
Well, that's just my personal opinion on Season 12. Your mileage may vary when you watch it, of course. I suppose to compare it to a previous season, it's almost like season 6, which I thought was very good.
0.0 My broken heart dares not hope for too much... But I shall look into it.
Ah I see. I'm guessing you're starting to grow out of Ninjago in a way?
Honestly a lot. Been thinking of life plans. How about you?
Schoolwork. Schools overcompensating online work due to ykw and I'm doing 7-9 hours of school a dayyy
What life plans?
Yikes. My sister is also kinda dealing with that.
Like college. I originally planned to not do anything like that, but I changed my mind for several reasons and now I'm going to try getting into a school I like in another state.
I like being at home but not working FROM home... Sometimes I'd wish I'd done electrical engineering because all that stuff is so neat And... that's advanced math for you honestly I'm not sure how useful it actually is, but

Real men do industrial engineering, engineering salary without calculus
Engineering was too boring for me so I said screw it might as well do math Occasionally I regret it but in the end I get to flex so it's all good I paid him in Canadian currency too Can't even remember what I ended up giving him.
Well, applications won't be happening for another 6~ months so we have time to ponder things first
Every once in while one of those math meme pages posts advanced content and I laugh hysterically then show my undergrad friends and they are like what is this gibberish so I have to forward it to a friend in the grad program
I mean, touring the map was very nostalgic, I spent a fair amount of time on the game. I definitely would have done a lot more if I'd played it when I was a little older. But at least I got the experience... and LU was what brought me to the MBs.
I should look for some sales, but my income is lower now so I don't want to spend too much... And I already have a ton of lego to deal with, so maybe best to wait.
I have no idea how many bricks I have, I'm not sure of the best way to approximate. Probably at least 500,000 total? So many thousands of pieces to sort

That makes sense. You can get a good look into the programs before you apply and see if it's something you're ready to tackle.
Ah yes, I love those moments as well. Only the people who've taken the necessary prerequisites can understand these memes.
Very cool. I could only spend about 1-2 hours once in a while on LEGO Universe back when I was in middle school and just starting high school. That makes sense. I didn't know of the LMBs until a couple years after LU closed down.
That's a good idea. In the entire Winter season, I didn't buy any LEGO except for one minifigure. Yep.
Wow, that's already half a million. I have around 60,000-65,000 pieces, I think, at least according to the last time I checked my inventory and thinking of any bricks I got in the past year.
Well more like 4 months til apps at this point so rip
And my favorite meme is a lot of the courses I took last semester (or this semester is it over yet or not) had 6 prereqs
When they shut LU down they advertised the MBs on the home screen and I was like "oh hey I have a few friends on here I can talk to them on the message boards" then they never really posted much and I'm still here... waiting for my friends from LU (jk)
Speaking of buying LEGO it's looking more and more like I won't be able to travel to see my friends (particularly my MB friends!) this summer so I mighttt buy the giant Batmobile
I think I plugged everything into brickset once and it told me well over 100k? Maybe my memory is poor But I have a ton. Need to post pictures or something. Now that the semester is done (ended yesterday, finally) I'm going to start organizing things with more gusto, I've now got all my presorted pieces in bags by piece type. Tomorrow I think I'll go through and put the hundreds of bags into some semblance of order because I cleared out several drawers of a dresser for that purpose. I should be staying active here and will keep you updated
