Two months ago, that's what it is! The brick, I only just turned eighteen! Now I'm going to be nineteen by the end of this month?! o.O
WAT?! O_O We're getting older... *looks to my calendar but then remembers it fell off the wall and I never put it back up* My birthday's in... 5 days. I'm not ready to be 17, and you're turning 19... good luck friend!
Hm, where do you live? I don't understand how after four years of high school you can have two more years of high school, unless it's the dual enrollment type at a community college to get an Associate's degree.
My memory might be short, but what exactly was wrong with 2016?
I live in the Philippines. In here, your first four years of high school are just the normal high school life to live. Your next two years, however, are kinda different. You have to take these strands (six to choose from) that complement your desired career choice and/or course to be taken up in college. If you wanna be a doctor, you're gonna have to take a science-related strand; if you wanna be a lawyer, you're gonna have to take a humanities-related strand. All these strands have some subjects in common but what sets them apart is their special subjects, so you won't be seeing an Economics subject taken by anyone who takes a science-related strand but you're definitely gonna take the same math subject. It's complicated, I know.
It's a rather subjective judgment but lots of bad stuff happened to me. Basically bad luck. 2020 is replicating it except that everyone is experiencing the same bad stuff.
Ah, I see. It makes sense, then, that you don't have the same sort of school system that we do. The strands (it reminds me of the "cones" in the Foreign Service here) sound like a fairly good idea except for people that have absolutely no idea what they want to do. You see, I have varying interests, and I might switch from one major to another in college (or university, depending on what term you use).
Ah, I see. I guess the year I broke like all the bones in my arm would be a bad year for me. It's true, 2020 is just horrible for everyone.
Thank you. I appreciate it. ÓvÒ It's handy for personal conversations such as this.
I guess. xD :3
You're welcome. You've also reminded me to pray for you more often, so thank you. I can't be forgetting my friends!
I can see that. It captures the sadness of the past but demonstrates the hope of the future! And we need a happy-sad face, sometimes, because we don't always have just one emotion.
My derp-tongue-smiley doesn't even come close to being useful.
Well, I can be a pretty easy person to forget, so I can't say I blame you.
Precisely! It's nice to see the emotes dealing with more emotions. :3
