A little mentally restless about getting my life togther. Been doing a lot of thinking and planning. It's scary, but I'm hopeful for the future. How about you?
Yeah. I actually made a bet with my brother a few years ago that Ninjago would still be around in 2020, and he made a bet it wouldn't be, so I got five bucks.
That's awesome. Luckily for you Ninjago kept going and you got five bucks out of it. I guess he will learn not to mess with the ninja.
I sure hope so. Interesting... Anything else someone might need to know about moving into college?
Yep. I guess the most important advice I could give is to plan as much ahead as possible. Before I moved into college, I had toured the dorm rooms beforehand so that I knew relatively how much I could bring, knowing I can't bring too much. When I was moving in, I had one roommate and we coordinated through email who would bring the appliances we would share before moving day. For example, I bought the mini-fridge and a printer for both of us, and my roommate got the microwave and paper for the printer. The more planning you can do, the smoother the process will be.
Very interesting. I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks.
Oh no, maybe you'll meet someone nice who also speaks english? XD
Well, in the school I plan to transfer to, I heard most of the peeps there speak English mainly, so that's good enough for me. Technically there are lots of those guys in my school but the classes for us scholars are very different, so majority of those peeps aren't that good in English. xD
Anyone want to chat? I could probably handle some more quote chains. I'm fine with deep and heavy conversations and/or life stuff, to stuff about shows, movies or books, jokes and randomness, to fun mini roleplay, pretty much anything. ( Within the site guidelines of course. )
Do penguins have knees?
If you could go back and change anything about your childhood, what would it be?
I dreamt about a giant flying hedgehog once.
What do you do when you're feeling depressed and/or stressed out by things you can't control? I may need some tips.
Well yes, but actually no? * looks it up* Yes. So I guess my first instinct was right...
Nothing, because I needed to learn from those bad experiences and I wouldn't want to change how and where I am now. If that makes sense. There are things that I wish I did differently when I had the chance though, which I do cringe at when I think about. How about you?
Oh interesting, did it look realistic or cartoony?
Hmm. I have different ways of dealing with it, depending on what it is that's bothering me and in what way. Usually though, if I can find a way to make it feel like I'm doing something about it, even if it's something simple. For example: doing research and learning more about whatever it is. Or taking actions that could help in the long run even though nothing is changing now. If I'm just trying to relax though, listening to music calms me, and so does writing and drawing. Walking my dog with my sister has also been helpful I believe, because it gives me a chance to get away for a little bit. Taking a shower has helped in the past too. And just talking about it with a friend sometimes, like when I discuss stuff with you.
I got a major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, but it's more in the subject of robotics.
Ah, I understand. What kind of engineering are you looking to get into? Hopefully the aspect of engineering you'd like may not rely too much on colors?
Ah, so my brother is a Computer Science major, and he did some cool robotics stuff too.
I'm thinking about mechanical engineering, or maybe industrial engineering (they overlap some, but mechanical engineering is more common at the small universities and colleges I'm looking at). Also, electrical engineering is another common one, but I know I can't do that with colorblindness. I got kind of scared because I read somewhere that some engineering jobs make you take a colorblind test, but I don't know which jobs those are.
Ah, very cool. Computer Science is a pretty nice major to work with. I had to do some computer science when I was working on my computer engineering major.
Ooh, very interesting. Mechanical Engineering wasn't available for the colleges I was looking at, but hopefully the ones you have available have good programs. I'm going to guess it'll be a lot of math. That makes sense. For Electrical engineering, at least with what I've done so far, color was kind of important to understand, so it may be trickier for you. I haven't actually heard of a colorblind test before for engineering jobs, but if that specific job is critical of having color, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a test for it.

Ah, I see. I'll be praying for you, NFM. I hope things go well for you. It's been alright lately. Just a midterm and homework to do.

You're welcome. Any more questions about college you got?
