Yeah, Space, Castle, and Town were the first 3 themes to have minifigures in them. They have been revived every couple years ever since. Pirates joined the group in the 80s. Those 4 themes generally always have a theme related to them, but right now it's just City:S:(.
It's really sad because those are the four best non-licensed themes too.
Yeah, almost every subtheme of them is awesome:(.

I know right? Creator sets are SUCH steals for the fact that you get cool sets, tons of pieces, and instructions for 3 different models! I always found the best part of LEGO was building, so I loved the 3-in-1s. Now I mostly make MOCs, but even so Creator sets are great to make them as each set generally has enough regular style pieces to make a MOC of a similar size to the set.
I wish i had more time to build MOCs...
But high school exists. I have been working on a small alien planet diorama on and off a bit, it's pretty cool, maybe I should upload it to the gallery.
Hopefully I'll have time to build MOCs this summer
