Omg you're so right. Being homeschooled in the modern day WITH access to the internet still left me in complete shock when it came time to Adult™. But yeah, the culture-shock would be rough. But at least if you went to the past, you'd have a little bit of context for it?
There just SOOO MUCH culture, no matter how much you are caught up on you'll still be behind. I think regular schoolers are just more used to that. Yes, but I wouldn't get any of their inside jokes, and I can't stand that. Finding Friendships
I think to an extent that's true, but there's still a lot of arguably valuable experiences that you lose as a child when you're shut out from the rest of the world. Well you're homeschooled, so you ought to be used to that by now.
My closet's pretty big. I could move stuff somewhere else. *Is unable to answer your question because I am still gone.*
That's probably for the best. Speaking of which, when are you getting him an iPad?
I think we're pretty good where we're at.
But surely that's too much work for just enough money to swim in. Well how about now? I've been gone like a week now by accident.
Never, I'm irrationally opposed to Apple products.
That hurts RuleJJ, just like the constant ache in my soul that comes from knowing that some people have never experienced the joys and wonders of the Jurassic franchise. Finding Friendships
You're right. Hundreds of thousands of dollars simply isn't worth fifteen minutes of moving boxes. *Returns, covered in scratches, carrying a fox and an armadillo, both of which are wriggling angrily in my grip.* I did it! It took 78 animal shelters and 37 parks across 19 states, but I have obtained on pet fox and one pet armadillo!
Tank you! ^^ I'm working a completely non zoo related job right now to save up some money and keep busy, but there's an internship in Tennessee I have my eye on for next spring if I can land it. If not, imma stick with this job and keep looking for other opportunities wherever I can. What about you? I disappeared for a bit again but how have you been, how's life been going? :3
And I would love that actually xD
In Tennessee?? Duuude we could meet up xDD But that's so cool! Is it a zoo-related internship? I hope the job works out well and isn't too stressful.
Oh gosh, I can't remember what last you heard of me... xD Uh, well, I'm going into my senior year of college now, which is very frightening, as I keep having crises where I suddenly have no idea what I want to do with my life and am paralyzed with terror and indecision. But I'm trying to learn the basics of traditional animation while also trying to improve my art style, which the vague plan of one day getting a job on an indie production or something. I'm still helping my friends run our campus's creative writing club, and I'm essentially the secretary who plans stuff, keeps lists of what needs to be done and reminds everyone when there's a meeting and stuff. I'm also beginning a marketing internship this week, which I am very nervous about. I'm trying to balance my school life with my creative hobbies while trying not to freak out every time I remember that I'm going to graduate next year and that I'll never get to romanticize being a student ever again. Despite some of my closest friends having already graduated, I'm really happy where I am and I'm not ready to let go of this phase of my life just yet. ( o,o')
We actually could one day xD I'm assuming the mods aren't as stressed about discussing real life things as the OG mods were when we were all wee kiddos so I feel like I could safely say the zoos I'm lookin at right now are in Nashville and Cincinnati. But yeah, I'm both hyped and terrified to be closer to living on my own, where I don't have the facade of college to simulate the experience while also sheltering me from the reality of it. But it'll be aight.
Dude, senioritis is reaalll. xD I didn't realize it until the last semester, but I was so burnt out and losing motivation while simultaneously knowing I should enjoy the last few months, so it was just like a constant state of crisis. That would be really cool though! Traditional animation is still so much more impressive to me than CGI just because of the amount of work and detail behind it. How's the internship going? And what does it entail? Cuz like, I feel like marketing could be a cool thing to study or a really boring thing depending on how it's presented.
I totally feel that. Just soak up all your favorite things and enjoy as much as you can. :3 I just went back to school for the first time since May to watch my theatre friends doing their thing this past weekend, and it brought back a whole wave of missing the people and places and all the little mundane details that were my whole life for 4 years.. ^^' Definitely bittersweet but it's also weird to look from the outside and see how much stuff has changed once you leave too. I don't know that I like that feeling.
How many people here actually drink pumpkin spice lattes when it's fall? I'm just curious.
I gravitate toward apple cider and hot chocolate personally. Pumpkin stuff smells nice but the only pumpkin byproduct I consume are pepitas, cuz they have iron and ya girl is anemic.

Yeah, very true, but there's also a lot of crappy experiences you avoid, so it's a toss-up. I think it all comes down to how separate from the rest of the world you were, because some parents definitely take it way too far. That just makes it worse Tigress!!!

What about a Generic TabletTM?
Would you like some Ibuprofin for that?
Those are fifteen minutes you can never get back, but hundreds of thousands of dollars? Those will be practically worthless due to inflation in like a hundred years or so. I bet they're gonna get along great!
I think they'll just have to sit down and watch stuff on the tv.
Sure, and while we're waiting for that to kick in why don't you sit down and here and I'll put on a movie? Finding Friendships
Really?! Awesome! Seriously; I need new NF so bad rn I'm going to be honest, I didn't peg you as someone who liked NF, but it's super cool you do Also, is it just me, or does it seem like almost nobody else listens to For King and Country? You're the first I've met outside my family to have much experience with them
Guess he's busy being a father, I can relate. Yeah, I got into him a little after he released Therapy Session, been along for the ride since. I've actually seen For King & Country in concert. They definitely haven't gone mainstream, it's a small crowd that pays attention to the Christian music genre. Finding Friendships
Probably. I actually prefer he take time for his family than give us a constant stream of music Speaking of family, CONgrats on your second child Beautiful I'd known him for a long time before I got old enough to like and understand his music Same! Very true Have you seen For King & Country's new movie, btw? I haven't
I think we're over a trillion dollars in debt; jelly donuts shouldn't be in the budget That's so true; we might have to leave them in the interest of cinema's future Speaking of entertainment, did you see the final post in Sprocket's Journey (my story)?
I don't think the government understands the meaning of the word "budget." Though if an actual apocalypse happens it'll probably he hard to produce and release a movie. Not sure, I'll go check now. *zooms off* Finding Friendships
That's probably true I'd buy them a dictionary, but it's not in my budget Idk, if your phone, laptop, and a popular action star survive you might be able to pull it off Alri- oh, there he goes

Yeah, how hard can it be to just get a few hundred thousand dollars somewhere else? Everyone knows that foxes and armadillos are natural allies.

You have good points, but I haven't stayed strong this long to fold to anything other than complete exhaustion. Finding Friendships
For sure, especially as LEGO doesn't seem to have many movies in the works at the moment.
Yep, I don't recall Monkie kid being very popular, set or show-wise. Even less so than Nexoknights.
Never mind, I don't think there's much demand for and avatar builder anyways so it's no big loss. Finding Friendships
It was good while it lasted, hopefully a worthy film comes along and reboots the genre at some point.
I never saw the show for Nexo Knights, but we (one of my brothers or I) did get a set. Based just on the sets and the LEGO magazine the line seemed pretty okay.
Well I want to officially put in my demand for it, if that's fine with you. Finding Friendships
Indeed, maybe a movie based on one of the older LEGO themes would be fun, Adventurers, for instance.
I recall watching a couple of episodes, but the plot was usually extremely repetitive, often culminating in a fight scene where the good guys shout ''Nexo Knights'' and become OP. I got the impression that the main focus was to advertise the game, which was probably the case. Some of the sets were fun though.
Hey wait, you can't do that, I'm happily semi-retired. I'll have to wake Henny up from hibernation, now. Finding Friendships
