If anyone's reading this thread (which I doubt) and you've read the story (which I doubt even more), who was your favorite character. If they're still alive, I'll try to bring them back in the sequel.
I can't remember that many of them due to it being a while since I finished reading the story, but I'll try and have a glance through and remind myself which ones I liked.

Definitely, it makes it hard to truly experience life. I think it's actually a little bit of a writer's curse, I never seem to really immerse myself in my feelings, I tend to observe them and store them away for usage on a character or story. Not sure if other people have this problem or not.
