I'd say so, at least for the experience of living with a roommate and since dorms are close by to the classrooms. Either that or you have to find an apartment if you don't already live close by to the school.
Alright. Is it cheaper to do the dorm? And can you chose your roommate?

It probably will be cheaper to do the dorm. It might come with access to the cafeteria too, but you'll have to check your college to see what they provide and to compare the tuition. As for roommates, first we all took a survey to understand preferences and stuff I was able to choose specific attributes I'd prefer to have in a roommate, but the residential office picks roommates. You might be able to request for roommate changes if there really are problems, but thankfully I didn't need to and my roommate and I got along very well.

Ok. That's all good to know. So I gotta research the collage real good before choosing it? Oh that's kind of unnerving. So they'll be a complete stranger? That's good to hear.

Yep, I'd say some research is good. I researched the colleges I'd like to go to, checked their programs and requirements for graduation to see if it's something I'd like to get myself into. Yep, mines was a complete stranger, but as long as you and your roommate don't seek trouble, you two should be good to go. Oh, you might even have 2 roommates.

Ok, so I need to be sure what I'm doing before I do it. Ok, that makes sense. I've heard it's good to coordinate schedules with your roommates. Is that true?

Exactly. You don't want to go to a college and enroll in a program you'll be unsatisfied with for four years. I'd say it's a good idea to at least know each other's schedules, but you don't have to make them match or anything. I had a very different schedule from my roommate, but I got a general idea of what his schedule was, just so that I know when he might be in class and when he might be at the dorm. Also helpful for knowing when he needs to wake up early or when he might sleep in.

Ya. I'll probably ask da and ma for help on choosing a collage. Right, that sounds much easier than matching up schedules.

That's a good idea. They probably have some ideas of where to start applying. Yep. Your roommates might not even be in the same major as you. My roommate was a math major and I was a computer engineer, so we barely even shared any classes.

Ya, sense they've done it before. Ok, so we may not see each other a whole lot.

Cool. Yeah. Some days I saw my roommate quite often and sometimes I only saw him in the morning and the evening. We just do our own thing and mind each other's business.

Very cool. So it just depends?
Yep. Pretty much. There's a lot of details that can go into a schedule, and that may be different between different colleges.
