Hello; I’m Lava! I’m a friend of Zai’s from Lego Life, where I’m HonorableMaskedLava. I joined LL in January 2019, but I never had the chance to be part of the Message Boards or Galleries, sadly. When Zai mentioned finding this place, I decided to check it out too, so here I am!
A little bit about myself: ~ INFP-T ~ I like building creature MOCs, writing stories, drawing, and roleplaying ~ My favorite movies/books/shows are HTTYD, The Wingfeather Saga, Ninjago, Avengers, and Star Wars ~ I’m a huge dragon enthusiast ~ Fantasy and sci-fi are the best
Hi LavaLamp!
I am also a huge fan of the the HTTYD franchise, how do you feel about the live-action remake coming out?
Fellow HTTYD fan! I’m pretty skeptical, but mainly because I want so badly for it to be good. The original director being part of it gives me hope. I’m reserving further judgment for when I see the dragons. Have you read the book series?

Hey! nice to see you're finally here! Now where's loverboy? (Wizard)
XD “Loverboy” is working hard as usual; I’ll see if I can’t persuade him to join.

I'm skeptical of live action remakes in general, but I haven't seen a Dreamworks one yet so maybe it'll be good. I didn't know the director was taking part, that does give me hope!
I have, but way back when the first movie was coming out. I was obsessed back then. I'm assuming you have?
I remember your comics very well! I actually archived one on lego life! (before they wiped all gallery posts due to an update) your comics used to be a big inspiration for my own comics that a brought over to Lego Life. Lego Life is a very different app from how it was in 2017. I'm regarded as one of the "oldies". I have a tight circle of good friends on there. I've even convinced one of my friends to join here. Though she says she needs to figure out what her username is gonna be Lego life actually does have a chat feature now! you can now comment ACTUAL WORDS on posts! Before then we made use of posts made officially by lego. These were usually some sort of building contest, then we would claim them and make chatrooms. We still make use of these Chatrooms for more centralized communication (my chat, for instance, is one of the oldest that is still active, and has almost 30k comments!) But chatting has branched out due to the comment feature. And the community there is great for the most part. Oh yeah, and you can also change your username if you have a lego ideas account.
Oh, there I go yapping again I better stop before I recite all 14 parts of AmbassadorMaskedZane's "The History Of Lego Life"
That's cool, that's probably why you seemed familiar, I think I do remember you doing comics! I miss reading everybody's comics.
I'm glad to hear they've got a CONmunity now! I downloaded it to take a quick look after I saw you talking about it, but I couldn't figure out how to change my username, got frustrated, and hopped back off. Guess I didn't dig far enough. I saw some users were using words in comments, but I couldn't get mine to, so that also frustrated me.
Oh please, I don't mind the yapping, you're getting me caught up on my LEGO Life lore!
You have to use Lego Ideas to change your username. Unfortunately, you can't enable comments on old posts. Only new posts. Yeah, after I brought over the Lego Galleries style of comics to Lego Life, it exploded. and around 2020-2021 was kind of a comic craze. It was awesome.

Hm, I have a Lego Ideas account too but honestly, I'm just as lost over there as I was on LEGO Life.
That's good to hear, the comics were good CONtent, right up there with original builds.

I have indeed read all the books, and I might even like them better than the movies, which is funny considering how opposed I was to reading them at first. Then I looked at one in the library and read about the vegetable-no-one-dares-name and Hiccup falling into the soup, and it was funny enough that I decided to give them a chance

They are sooooo different. I do remember the author having a fun sense of humor, I'd honestly probably really enjoy reading back through them. I did a quick google search, and there's some new ones since I read them!
I saw they casted Gobber now the live-action. It'll be interesting to see how he looks.

Hang on, you never finished the series?? Do you remember which book was the last one you read?
They’ve cast all the main characters. Gerard Butler is coming back as Stoick. Ruffnut and Tuffnut look nothing alike and I’m still hesitant about Astrid’s casting, but otherwise I don’t have any complaints. It’ll be interesting for sure

Well now I feel ashamed for not having read all of them. I think I got to book 6 or 7, that was likely all that were out at the time.
I am excited to have Stoick's actor back! As for the rest, only time will tell. On most of them I can see at least some sort of resemblance to the animated movie character.

You’re missing out on the best half of the series! The story gets so much deeper and more suspenseful, and is more continuous through the books. There’s a good reason the last book is as thick as the first two combined

Well of course it'd get better after I gave up. I'll definitely try to reread it sometime, I gotta know how many more times Alvin the Treacherous shows up.
Hello all!! I’m WobyToby66 which I believe was my name back on the old message boards. Since then and even the last time I was on here a lots been going on. Regardless LMBE is like OSRS it just keeps drawing me back in every year or so and I intend in all parts to remain this time.
Honestly I don’t remember a lot of what I posted about and looking at my post history made me more than cringe but nevertheless it’s good to be back.
