In the spirit of doing something I've not done much in the past, I was thinking of making a Maelstrom character and seeing that no one else has yet reinforces the feeling I should. So, here comes my character based off of the character of the same name from my comedy The Extraordinary, Yet True Adventures of Mardolf the Orange:
Name: Mob (2.0) Appearance: As far as looks are concerned, Mob is a simple Stromling, only he is bald. His clothes include hints of blue and red among all the purple. Abilities: By Stromling standard, Mob is a super intelligent agent of the Maelstrom. Having said that, Mob would probably be deemed dumb by most uninfected people. He doesn't have any special powers and has no more physical prowess than the standard Stromling. Background: Mob usually serves as the Darkitect's personal servant. He usually doesn't get involved in the battle itself and he does not take part in the planning, but somewhere in between those two, you can find Mob performing tasks for the Darkitect. I'm not sure if we are going to have HQ leaders, but if we do and we agree on my taking charge of the Maelstrom (currently being the only candidate), Mob could lead it, being the Darkitect's representative, while the latter remains in the shade.
Mob claims that he is a clone of infected Bob (or is he an infected clone of Bob?), but the story has not been publicly confirmed. According to his account, Bob was infected and then cloned by the Darkitect. The name Mob comes from the fact the infected Bobs created a Mob. However, Bob later managed to escape and get disinfected, leaving Mob 2.0 as the major Mob.
Yes, the only villain yet made seems very promising indeed! :tounge:

Nice character. I am fine with you leading the Maelstrom for now at least. I plan on making a Maelstrom character, but it's kind of hard because most Maelstrom are pretty brainless and stupid:S:P.

I've always seen the Maelstrom as pretty devious at heart.
*Mob is walking fast and on his rush he almost falls onto a Stromling Invader. He avoids the accident, but as he does so he bumbs into a Stromling Ape, which then looks at him angrily. The Darkitect's most secret base is always bustling with activity, but for some reason Mob seems to be the only one facing such problems as colliding with others* "Sorry. Coming through. I've got direct orders from the Darkitect himself. I need to hurry!" *Mob begins running again and thankfully no Ape hands pick him up to hurl him across the room. Mob is relieved. He was saved both the crash on the wall and the Darkitect's vengeance for being late. Finally, Mob reaches the Avant Gardens Command. Inside the little room, Mob finds a Stromling of more distinct and cleverer features than most* "I need you to convey the following message to Avant Gardens units 1, 2, 4 and 7". "Good. It's been a while since we've done anything out of the routine in Avant Gardens and I was beginning to fear I was completely useless". "Let's skip the talking. I need to do this fast. Alright, here goes the message. Nexus Force aircraft crashed in Avant Gardens Mountains. Stop. Aircraft's load imaginite crystals. Stop. Units 1,2,4,7 engage immediately. Stop. Seize imaginite. Stop. Infect it and bring underground. Stop. That's the message". *The other Stromling closes its eyes for a moment and frowns as if concentrating, then says "Done".

OOC: How shall I start this?
Among the mountains of Avant Gardens, a squadron of Talon Dropships flew to the sound of "Dance of the Knights". On them was an entire company of Sentinel troops, clutching their rifles and shields in anticipation. They had received news that one of the Nexus Force's transport shuttles crashed. No one was sure how, perhaps it had been Maelstrom anti-air assets, or a malfunction, but that didn't matter now. The mission was to head towards it's transponder, secure the area, rescue any survivors and take the cargo. The ship should also be destroyed after, to ensure that what they couldn't salvage wouldn't be corrupted by the plague that was the Maelstrom. Suddenly, the voice of the Squadron Leader over the radio sounded in every Talon's troop compartment:
"Attention! We are approaching the Landing Zone! Expect light Maelstrom resistance, but be careful. We'll be circling the area for extraction and air support. You may stand up."
The dropships slowly came to a halt over the edge of a plateau and opened their bay doors, unleashing each an entire platoon, ready for action. Among them, was a strange figure. Charles Cameron was definitively too high an officer to be commanding the platoon he was in charge of, being a lieutenant colonel, which implied at least battalion-level presence in the sector. He took his rifle and ordered his men around, as they started to head towards the plateau's centre.

*Mob is running again* "This job never gives me a rest. Maybe I should consider retiring", Mob mutters to himself. *He finally reaches another room, the door labelled as Observatory. He enters and finds himself in a dark room with a bit of purple mist lingering low above the floor. A crystal ball, whose inner activity makes it look more like a plasma ball, is placed on a pillar in the centre. Mob begins to walk towards it, but then he feels a chill up his spine. His whole body shivers as it feels... him. Mob can sense his master's presence in the room. He stops rushing and proceeds slowly and looking about fearfully. The Darkitect isn't there himself, but his mind is directed in that place. Mob finally reaches the crystal ball and touches it. Suddenly, something on the minifigure's course of action evading Mob's attention informs the Stormlings of the minifigure's presense, just as he becomes aware of them as well. There's a moment of silence as they look at each other. Then, the Stromling begin to move with surprising speed, some of them growling angrily. One of them charges for him, but it is taken down by a sudden blast from one of the minifigures' comrades. The next Stromling, however, is quicker and lunges itself against the minifigure throwing him as well as itself on the ground with its momentum. The signal has been given and the fight has begun*

The Nexus Force platoons quickly form a battle lines: The Sentinel Knights raise their shields, creating a wall of metal, as riflemen and grenadiers line behind and unleash volleys of fire and Firecrackers, quickly smashing the Stromlings. Charles Cameron steps ahead of the line, and orders echo through the Nexus Force radio.
"All units, push forward! Secure a perimeter around the crashed shuttle and get ready for extraction! Have Paradox troops clean the aura from here, while we are at it."
The disciplined troops move forward to execute the orders, quickly forming a defensive perimeter and helping any crewmembers left from the crash.
