Yes, it is back! Community Radio 101.1, (possibly the most popular news topic ever on the LMBs) is now on LMB Eternal! Let's get right down to work, specifically, the headlines! Discussion about Archiving the Locked LMBs! The LEGO Message Boards are locked as of February 28th, 2017, and will be locked, yet viewable till March 6. So many things on the MBs, so many memories. Is there a way we can archive this all? Can we store it? We can, apparently, download programs, so we'll see how that goes. If you want to help, go here:http://legomessage.boards.net/thread/337/click-help For those who want to archive stories, newsletters, etc. I have only one suggestion. Copy and Paste. If you have a word processor on your device, copy and paste everything and put it there, where you can access it any time you want. Or, you can copy and paste everything and place it in the proper forum for it. If so, it would probably be wise to state if it is an archive. As for topics, many people, including yours truly, have re-started the loved topic on the LMBs. Finding Friendships, and The Relaxed Chatroom, for examples, have retired founders. So users, like me, re-started the topics on here. If you do so, please give the credit to the original founder. How to use LMB Eternal Keplers, an official administrator, has posted a guide for using Eternal. The guide explains many helpful things, such as How to post, create threads (topics), and make avatars. I suggest you check it out.

Hello! Welcome to Community Radio 101.1! And now, for the news! The Old LMBs Still up? The LEGO Message Boards retired on February 28, and were scheduled to be taken offline on March 6. But for some odd reason, a week later, they are still up. A new announcement was posted on the MBs. "The boards will be taken completely offline in the future, but there is not a specific date planned at this time." This is a golden opportunity for those of you working on archiving. Why was the date changed? I have two theories: 1. There could have possibly been a technical error. Taking things off a website could be a little difficult, and maybe locking all the boards caused technical troubles. LEGO.com has had plenty of technical problems, so this theory is not beyond possibility. 2. The Mods could be giving us a break. They did a nice favour with the Ranks before the boards closed, so maybe they are leaving the boards up so we can archive, and save our stories. That's all for now. Tune in tomorrow for more awesome stories!
I was Astrokid12. I have an account on these boards of the same name, but I also use this main admin account for some things.
What inspired you to create this forum?
It's a rather confusing story that I don't fully understand myself. Originally, TopSecretSpyGuy and I, both from the Clone Wars RP, wanted to create an archive of the topics important to us and continue our RP in a smaller form. After meeting up with Helios and Keplers, also from CWRP, we ended up creating an attempt to archive the entire LMBs. Once we had a board set up for that, I thought we could expand it to be a full LMB replacement, and somehow the other admins were crazy enough to go along with that. It certainly wouldn't have been possible without them.
How old are you?
Even the other admins don't know the answer to that question. It shall forever remain a mystery.
What is your favorite food?
Chick-fil-A chikin strips
What is your favorite LEGO Theme?
Despite mostly having been active as a Star Wars RPer, Star Wars is not my favorite theme. My favorite theme is probably Mindstorms, though I like to get a few random space sets every now and then.
How do you feel about the closing of the LMBs?
It's certainly a sad thing, but knowing that the most active users at least know about LMBE makes it a bit easier. It's a pretty awesome community we have here, and it feels great to be a part of it!
Who are your friends? (On the LMBs and LMBE)
My friends from the LMBs were, largely, the Clone Wars RPers. All of the staff here on LMBE are friends, and now I'm happy to consider the whole LMBE community as my friends!
